Hell-o all and today we have decided to go a bit stingy with our posts so instead of posting full releases we will stick to the tracks we really thought stood out from their respective releases. So think of today’s session somewhat like a selection of newly released tracks, coming in parts. And to start with, we have something special as anytime you see these artists mentioned in the same sentence it has to be great news, let alone in the same track title. Finally, for those who had been looking forward to this one, the F.O.O.L & Didrick remix of Astronaut‘s & Far Too Loud‘s “War” is out on Monstercat and it sounds as good as one would expect it to. All the trademark sounds and characteristics that have made F.O.O.L an Electro fans favorite since the very beginning are there, perfectly balanced with the elements that made Astronaut‘s & Far Too Loud‘s original such a great track. This is Electro House at its best and a must check out remix, which definitely lives up to the expectations created by the names involved in this collaboration as well as the original. Enjoy! Hell-o and greetings to all Electronic music saints and sinners out there. Mid week blogging session about to commence right now on Metalectro and we have some fresh music coming your way today, rich in big bad dirty bass and sounds (as usual). And what better way to start the day than this new collaboration original between Apashe and Lektrique? Out yesterday on Kannibalen Records, “Confess” finds the two artists joining forces to come up with an Electro House single which combines in a very well balanced way elements of both their personal sound and style, while staying close to the “kannibal nature” and sound we’re used to hearing from the Canadian label’s artists and releases. Plenty of room for forgiveness here even if you don’t like “Confess”, which we seriously doubt is going to happen anyway, so just hit play and check it out! Continue reading »

Starting the day with some hard hitting Electro sounds and UK based Resistance‘s latest EP, which was released on Play Me Records about a month ago. The EP is titled “More Power” and moves in the Electro House/Dubstep directions. Three original tracks, two Electro and one Dubstep (plus a free bonus track inlcuded in the Soundcloud set), all packing quite a bit of energy and power which is what someone would normally expect by a release titled “More Power” anyway so no disappointent there. Nice and tight production by Resistance and overall one more nice release by Play Me which all those of you fans of the label’s sound and style should undoubtedly enjoy so hit play and check it out! Another bass music giant (warrior) who had a new release out last week is Feed Me, whose new EP “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo” hit the stores a week ago via his Sotto Voce Records imprint. 4 new tracks, all moving in the Electro House direction and as is often the case with Feed Me, finding clever ways to stay fresh by incorporating new sounds and ideas in the somewhat ‘expected’ formulas you hear on most high charting Electro House tracks and releases. Not that Feed Me‘s “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo” EP is really straying away from the more mainstream and club friendly Electro House sounds but having said that, it’s hard not to appreciate the overall quality of Feed Me‘s new EP. Definitely not the hardest, heaviest or darkest release you’re gonna hear out there but then again we seriously doubt that was ever the goal with “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo”, which is simply a fun to listen to release with very high production (and not only) standards. So here it is, what you do with it is entirely up to you. Continue reading »

Hell-o all and after a quiet last week as blogging turned out harder than we would have liked, we’re back to bass up your Monday and start the new week in a nice way. And we have some big new releases as well that came out last week, starting of course with Excision‘s “Codename X” album which released on Rottun Recordings a week ago. The Rottun and Dubstep big boss is back with 11 new tracks, some of which we’ve caught glimpses of or heard in full length before since they were released as singles and some unheard material. As for what you can expect by Excision in “Codename X”, ear pummeling Dubstep with megatons of bass and excess of power (of course) but that’s not all since the album comes with its fair share of Electro House, Glitch Hop and Drum & Bass/Drumstep tracks. Some on the heavier side and some on the more melodic, the collaborations on Excision‘s album aren’t missing either, with The Frim, Dion Timmer, Splitbreed, Messinian, Downlink, Space Laces and Pegboard Nerds appearing on “Codename X” and automatically making it a galaxy of bass music superstars. And if all of the above hasn’t convinced you about checking out Excision‘s album yet, just press play below and let your ears do their job. Continue reading »
