Boys and girls fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off because Spag Heddy is back with one more new EP, this time on Rottun Recordings and if there is one thing we can be certain of even before hitting play is that this one is coming with some megatons of bass. His new EP is titled “Here I Am” and includes three Dubstep originals (no surprises here) and some of Spag Heddy‘s best work recently in our opinion. Top production, as expected, by an artist who’s really taking the Dubstep world by storm lately with releases on most (or quite a few at the very least) of the major labels in the style. What remains to be seen is what comes next for Spag Heddy which given how productive he’s been recently won’t take long to find out we bet. But until then, check out “Here I Am” EP for some tasty bass music and bon appetit! Continue reading »

Our next pick for the day comes straight out of Niveau Zero‘s new EP “Underground Flavor”, released three days ago on Rottun Recordings and it’s the xKore remix of the EP same titled track. A Dubstep monsterpiece full of bass and power, that takes what was a very nice original by Niveau Zero and improves it even more (according to your earbuds at least that is). Definitely our favorite track out of “Underground Flavor” EP, which includes one more original track (a collaboration with Virus Syndicate) as well as 2 further remixes Lumberjvck and TBBT. A nice EP overall with both the original mix of “Underground Flavor” and the xKore remix in particular standing out, so check this out if you’re looking for a track to boost your adrenaline levels. Hell-o all and after a quiet last week as blogging turned out harder than we would have liked, we’re back to bass up your Monday and start the new week in a nice way. And we have some big new releases as well that came out last week, starting of course with Excision‘s “Codename X” album which released on Rottun Recordings a week ago. The Rottun and Dubstep big boss is back with 11 new tracks, some of which we’ve caught glimpses of or heard in full length before since they were released as singles and some unheard material. As for what you can expect by Excision in “Codename X”, ear pummeling Dubstep with megatons of bass and excess of power (of course) but that’s not all since the album comes with its fair share of Electro House, Glitch Hop and Drum & Bass/Drumstep tracks. Some on the heavier side and some on the more melodic, the collaborations on Excision‘s album aren’t missing either, with The Frim, Dion Timmer, Splitbreed, Messinian, Downlink, Space Laces and Pegboard Nerds appearing on “Codename X” and automatically making it a galaxy of bass music superstars. And if all of the above hasn’t convinced you about checking out Excision‘s album yet, just press play below and let your ears do their job. Continue reading »

Onwards for the final post for today and here comes the “remix of the day” which is no other than this super powerfull Ryle remix of Tim Ismag‘s “Anime Fight”. Taken from Tim Ismag‘s “Anime Fight” EP that was released on Rottun ten days ago, including the original mix of the track plus 3 further remixes by Trinergy, VMP and Nerd RageRyle‘s remix is a raging bass beast delivering megatons of energy and needless to say, our favorite from the EP as well. An undisputed remix of the day by our standards and definitely a remix that not only keeps the standards high for Ryle after his remix of Combichrist “From My Cold Dead Hands” but even raising them and leaves us looking forward to what comes next by the USA based artist. So boys and girls, fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off because Ryle‘s remix of “Anime Fight” is not to be taken lightly. Turn the volume way up and press play below!

Going with a pretty brutal Dubstep track next and it’s fair to say that Sullivan King‘s suits the Metalstep and Metalectro description, standards and tastes by all means. Out last month on Rottun Recordings, “Terminus” has all those ingredients that make a proper banger and you know that when we say “banger” we really mean it and it’s not just a word used to describe tracks that are non-heavyweights. Dark, aggressive, guitar and screamo vocals reinforced and in one word brutal, Sullivan King delivers hell and mayhem for a bit more than 4 minutes in “Terminus”, the way only a few artists can and is definitely entering the Metalectro pantheon alongside names such as Zardonic, Gor FLsh, Laforcah, Drivepilot (to mention a few) and many other beloved artists that are too many to mention here. Definitely a hard hitter and a must check out track, whether you like Dubstep, Metal, Electro or any hard and aggressive music style and genre really so hit play and blast this one as loud as you can!
