Metalectro http://www.metalectro-music.com This Is Metalectro! Tue, 25 Nov 2014 18:26:42 +0000 en-US hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=4.0.1 M.A.D.E.S “Requiem” EP [Preview] http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/25/m-a-d-e-s-requiem-ep-preview/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/25/m-a-d-e-s-requiem-ep-preview/#comments Tue, 25 Nov 2014 18:26:42 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29838 [...]]]> Another release that has definitely stood out so far this week is by the French up and comer and super talented artist that goes by the name M.A.D.E.S. So far M.A.D.E.S has been featured a few times here with some free tracks and has been mentioned for his collaborations with Blaster and official remixes for Dizkodeath and most recently Beef Theatre. All impressive work and definitely paving the path for an official release, which as it was expected followed on the London (UK) based JST Records. And if there is one thing we can say with absolute certainty is that M.A.D.E.S didn’t disappoint. Atmospheric and powerful at the same time the 2 originals move between orchestral hard Electro and Electro House with a touch of Complextro. Full of energy and great melodies, the youngster from Lille is the perfect meeting point between Outrun/80’s Electro feel and a more contemporary Electro sound, a perfect mix of Kavinsky and F.O.O.L if you like and you need some references to some more known artists. As for his debut EP “Requiem”, besides the 2 perfect examples of what M.A.D.E.S is capable of in the 2 originals the EP comes with 2 remixes too by GoingNuts and No Fake? who both gave the tracks a Dubstep twist. Definitely a release to check out and even more definitely an artist to keep your eyes and ears on as we are more than certain that this is only the beginning!

Axonic “The Breach” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/25/axonic-the-breach-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/25/axonic-the-breach-ep/#comments Tue, 25 Nov 2014 17:50:12 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29833 [...]]]> Hell-o bassheads and distortion addicts and it’s been a while since we made it to hold a full bass session (still having problems with the 24 hour long days) but today we thought we’d take a break from everything else and get low and dirty with some heavy sounds, so here we are! As for what we have in store for today, a couple new releases (if everything goes according to plan and we have enough time for it) so let’s get right into the good stuff with some fresh blood coming from Uplink Audio and the first time featured here Axonic with their new EP “The Breach”. 6 original tracks, all moving in the dark heavy and filthy Dubstep direction and sounding like a nuclear war in your speakers, with the exception of the trappy “EG-R” (sorry folks, just not our sound), which is a good thing by all means. If you’re after some heavy bass hitters and megatons of filth this is definitely one to check out so here’s the full EP for your listening pleasure. You know what to do!

Mr. Tools – Dirty (Feat. Sortek) http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/17/mr-tools-dirty-feat-sortek/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/17/mr-tools-dirty-feat-sortek/#comments Mon, 17 Nov 2014 17:44:40 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29826 [...]]]> Sticking to another new single release and another Italian artist for the time being and it’s no secret Mr Tools has been coming up with some pretty nice and hard hitting Electro tracks over the last few years. And his latest release on Evilsound is no exception. “Dirty” is exactly what the title suggests with some full sounding and dirty sound design and quite an energy boost. If you are familiar with Mr Tools and like his sound and previous releases then this will definitely be down your alley and you are going to enjoy it no doubt. The artist from Rome is sticking to what he knows how to do well and isn’t going for some sort of chart friendly festival sounding EDMesque sound but we might even say is going for full power on “Dirty”, even more than he did in his most recent releases. Definitely one to check out so hit play and get dirty!

Belzebass – Gravity Proof http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/17/belzebass-gravity-proof/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/17/belzebass-gravity-proof/#comments Mon, 17 Nov 2014 16:49:51 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29823 [...]]]> Hell-o and a good new week to all bassheads out there! And what could be a better remedy for any weekend post-partying stress disorder issues we might be struggling with on a Monday than some good music? Exactly, nothing. So let’s get right into it and we have a few bassy and good new sounds coming today, starting with what has been somewhat of a surprise release really and we don’t mean that in a bad way, just in an “unexpected” way considering the artist name on the track title. It’s no secret Belzebass have been one of the most brutal and notorious hard Electro duos for a while now and their name has grown to be a synonym of aggressive banging Electro. So when the Italian duo’s new single “Gravity Proof” was released we were a bit surprised to hear something entirely different but at the same time fresh coming from them. Of course, for those who have been following closely and their senses are more attuned to certain details, the new sound and style we hear from Belzebass on their new single shouldn’t come as such a big surprise since all the signs were there. New label, completely different aesthetics on the cover art and generally speaking by the looks of it a complete makeover or at least temporary experiment. As for the track itself, it’s moving towards a much softer, fresh and melodic Dubstep direction and it’s quite enjoyable and nice, despite the initial surprise that comes when pressing play and to hear expecting some classic Belzebass. Whether the Belzebass we knew until now are a thing of the past or not remains to be seen, for now just check out “Gravity Proof”!

Dizkodeath “Orchid” (Official Video) http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/14/dizkodeath-orchid-official-video/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/14/dizkodeath-orchid-official-video/#comments Fri, 14 Nov 2014 17:46:48 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29820 [...]]]> It’s been a while since a video teaser for Dizkodeath‘s “Orchid” appeared on the web teasing us with some nice raw and dark imagery for the artist’s single “Orchid”. Now finally the full official video for the track has been released, following the German artist’s debut LP. Lo-fi and distorted, the video of “Orchid” follows the exact same recipy you would expect if you’ve checked out Dizkodeath‘s music. Heavy and groovy hard Electro with a ‘deadly’ twist, the video of “Orchid” moves at a slow pace, yet it will hypnotise and suck you in with it’ atmopsheric imagery. Don’t expect fancy tricks and polished post-production but a theme that would probably suit a new wave or gothic video quite well too, with a rough edge to it which works perfectly well and sets the mood to listen to the whole “Raw” LP. So here it is, check it out and if you missed Dizkodeath‘s debut LP better check that out too here!

Combichrist – From My Cold Dead Hands (Ryle Remix) http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/combichrist-from-my-cold-dead-hands-ryle-remix/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/combichrist-from-my-cold-dead-hands-ryle-remix/#comments Wed, 12 Nov 2014 18:11:32 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29816 [...]]]> Last post for today and because this is Metalectro and we love our distorted guitars, growls and any kind of combination and mix of bass music and Metal/Punk elements, as long as it’s done right and nicely of course, here’s something to feed our Metal egos and Metalectro hungry souls and demanding eardrums. Fresh blood too since it’s only the first time Ryle is being featured here with his remix of Combichrist’s “From My Cold Dead Hands”. Needless to say this is our definite “remix of the day” pick as well and rightfully so too. The remix is available to purchase as it’s been officially released on Metropolis Records, so hit play below, check it out and you know what to do if you like it as much as we did. Play it loud!

Excision & The Frim – Night Shine (ft. Luciana) http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/excision-the-frim-night-shine-ft-luciana/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/excision-the-frim-night-shine-ft-luciana/#comments Wed, 12 Nov 2014 17:39:01 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29814 [...]]]> Having opened the day with a Dubstep new release we will stick to some more of that actually and another new big Dubstep single, coming by Excision & The Frim (feat. Luciana) on Rottun Recordings. Released just a couple of days ago but anticipated since the track was heard on Excision‘s “Shambala 2014″ mix back in September, “Night Shine” is what you all you would expect and hope for really by the Canadian and young but very promising and definitely already musically mature The Frim. Powerful and catchy this collaboration is simply put great and having listened to the track a few times (ok, maybe a few times too many to be precise) there isn’t anything that could have been done different in order to make it better or anything that we can think of at least. So to wrap this up since there isn’t much else to be added here except for the obvious “must check it out”, if you are looking for a huge Dubstep track for the next few months look no further and keep this close (in your iPhones, iPods and all mobilve devices really) so you can blast it anywhere and anytime!

PhaseOne “Touching The Stars” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/phaseone-touching-the-stars-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/12/phaseone-touching-the-stars-ep/#comments Wed, 12 Nov 2014 16:30:24 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29810 [...]]]> Continuing the new release bass frenzy that November brings and of course, as it’s usually the case lately and for good reason always, the blogging day would feel almost incomplete without a Firepower Records mention or release. Well, admittedly there is plenty of great stuff coming out Datsik’s imprint and probably more than we have been able to keep up with since our blogging time is quite limited lately. But in any case, efforts to catch up with both the Fire-power-house as well all other releases and sounds we deem worthy will be made. For now let’s get down to business with one more Firepower Records release which is no other than PhaseOne‘s “Touching The Stars” EP. 4 original tracks, with 2 of them (“Initiate” and “Six Feet Under”) moving towards the heavier Dubstep direction and 2 more melodic (and EDMesque if we can use that term) vocal tracks, with the Australian producer leaving the 140BPM Dubstep behind and going for some Drum N Bass in “Touching The Stars”. Our favorites, if we had to pick that is, would definitely be one of “Initiate” or “Six Feet Under” who are the 2 harder tracks on the EP as well. A very well put together release overall though anyway that should keep PhaseOne‘s (and not only) fans pretty happy so hit play and check it out!

Pythius “Abandon” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/11/pythius-abandon-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/11/pythius-abandon-ep/#comments Tue, 11 Nov 2014 18:30:27 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29801 [...]]]> This isn’t a new but an upcoming release and some fresh blood to make your blood boil and ears bleed! Bass overdose by the first (but we are sure not the last) time featured on Metalectro Pythius and a call to arms for all bassheads and Drum & Bass fans, with the signature of Black Sun Empire and Blackout Music and for those of you familiar with these names you should have a pretty good idea of what’s coming. For the rest, simply prepare to get blown away! Pythius new EP “Abandon” is set up for release on Nobember 17th with 5 tracks, also including a collaboration with label bosses Black Sun Empire. Two full tracks have already been made available for public streaming and we really couldn’t wait to feature them here. The EP title track “Abandon”, which is a bass monster which will devour your eardrums (and your neighboor’s too) as well as the collaboration with Black Sun Empire, titled “Desert Sand”. It is “Abandon” that really deserves all the focus and attention it can get though and trust us, it will get your attention as soon as you hit play. Just make sure you crank the volume up to appropriate loudness levels because such track must be played loud at all times. Check out the 2 tracks Pythius‘ upcoming “Abandon” EP and stay tuned for the release!

Beef Theatre “Lazertag” http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/11/beef-theatre-lazertag/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2014/11/11/beef-theatre-lazertag/#comments Tue, 11 Nov 2014 17:35:05 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=29798 [...]]]> Another new release we were really looking forward to since it was announced about a month ago was Beef Theatre‘s comeback single “Lazertag”, released just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. It’s been a while since the duo had an official release out so the news of them joining JST Records and working on on a new single were definitely well received on this blog, as well as many of their fans and hard Electro fans out there in general. Besides, the duo has a long story and very rich in hard Electro background and this move to the London based kabel seemed like a fitting move. Staying true to their roots, Beef Theatre stayed on the Electro side of things and made sure that besides lazers, their new single “Lazertag” has some nice energy and bass too. “Lazertag” also features a couple of remixes though, with Troublegum going for a nice Drum & Bass/Drumstep remix and M.A.D.E.S doing what he does best, great atmospheric orchestral Electro House/Complextro with plenty of energy to power up a city block (at least). Definitely a very nice release that puts back on the map for good these hard Electro veterans who go by the name Beef Theatre so you should definitely check this one out!
