So say hell-o to iso:R from Japan and his katana wielding Dubstep samurai that goes by the name “Kimura”. Out on Uplink Audio just a couple of days ago, “Kimura” EP is slashing its way through most other Dubstep releases we’ve heard lately and doesn’t go “hybrid”, trap or soft at any point. It’s all out war heavy Dubstep, with the Japanese artist also going in Metalectro mode by plugging in some guitars too for the EP closer “The Horror Show”. Definitely an EP we enjoyed a lot and we’re pretty sure you will too so turn the volume up, check “Kimura” out and get it here.

Review: Hugeative “Crime Season” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/07/16/review-hugeative-crime-season-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/07/16/review-hugeative-crime-season-ep/#comments Thu, 16 Jul 2015 14:52:14 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30704 [...]]]> The summer is well upon us and we might be taking it slow(er) than usual but we aren’t completely dead nor deaf (yet), so despite the already high temperatures here’s some new hot music too. Today’s menu is made out of a couple new Dubstep releases and two new artists who haven’t been featured here before such as Hugeative from Baltimore (USA) who had his “Crime Season” EP out on Firepower Records three weeks ago. “Crime Season” comes with 4 originals and just as you’d expect from a Firepower Records release with pretty high production standards. Of course the “hybrid” nature Dubstep/Trap track couldn’t be missing too since it has become almost a standard on most Dubstep releases nowadays, something we might not the biggest fans of but doesn’t mean the track itself can’t be good anyway. As for “Crime Season” EP, if you’re looking for some chilled out summer vibes then there’s nothing for you here so you better keep moving but if you’re looking for some nice Dubstep then check this out and go get it here.

Track Selection: Weekend Bass #3 http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/07/03/weekend-bass-3/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/07/03/weekend-bass-3/#comments Fri, 03 Jul 2015 13:31:21 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30695 [...]]]> Weekend Bass 3It’s that time of the week again and even though we haven’t been able to keep up with our bass addiction as much as we’d like to this week, it’s never too late to get the bass cannons loaded with some nasty sounds and get loud, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do just before we get into weekend mode. From Electro House to Dubstep and Drum N Bass, today’s track selection is packing some serious firepower (and we don’t necessarily mean the label) by Black Tiger Sex Machine and Lektrique, Figure (who hasn’t been blogged here for a while so a big bad “welcome back” to him), Hugeative (who brings some tasty fresh blood in today’s track selection), a massive collaboration by SKisM, Habstrakt and Megalodon and last but not least Muzzy (who just had a new EP out). So, ‘nuf said and we better let the music do the talking, so press play and enjoy!

Review: Autopunk & Mak Others “We Own The Night” http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/23/review-autopunk-mak-others-we-own-the-night/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/23/review-autopunk-mak-others-we-own-the-night/#comments Tue, 23 Jun 2015 17:07:22 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30687 [...]]]> As far as good hard Electro goes there aren’t many new releases coming out that can take us back to the good old days but every now and then a new release appears that successfully brings back memories of the good hard Electro era. And Autopunk & Mak Others have definitely managed to do that with their collaboration “We Own The Night”, out yesterday on Jet Set Trash. Groovy, powerful, bassy and overall sexy, this is the good old sound that most certainly fans of artists like Haezer, Gtronic, etc, must be missing in 2015. Add the great vocals by Mak Others which aren’t just a perfect match for Autopunk‘s sound but also taking both tracks to a whole new level and “We Own The Night” has all those ingredients a good hard Electro release should.

Slow start in the week in terms of blogging after what turned out to be a busy weekend but we’re getting back on track and some new music always helps so here comes Dodge & Fuski and 12th Planet who collaborated recently on “Big Riddim Monsta”, out on Disciple Recordings a week ago. And because one riddim monsta is never enough though the release came with a b-side as well, titled “Jump”. As for what you can expect to hear on Dodge & Fuski‘s new single, well the release title is pretty much self-explanatory. So if that sounds like you’re after this fine Tuesday you better check out “Big Riddim Monsta” and stay tuned for more since a remixes EP is already on the way.

Review: Mantis (feat. And even though the Atlanta based duo Mantis hasn’t been featured here as often as they once were, we’re definitely happy to hear some new music coming by them with their brand new single “Slangin’ / Warmonger” (feat. Armanni Reign) which was released a few days ago on Uplink Audio. Two new originals and if you expect some Trap or cheesy EDM here you better keep moving on folks because Mantis are going full power and heavy, just the way we like it and would expect by the duo. Here’s “Slangin’ / Warmonger”, so you better check it out for some nice Dubstep.

Review: I Think I Broke Something “Face Lift Remixed” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/19/review-i-think-i-broke-something-face-lift-remixed-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/19/review-i-think-i-broke-something-face-lift-remixed-ep/#comments Fri, 19 Jun 2015 14:09:45 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30674 [...]]]> More new music coming and it’s time to go underground with this remixes EP for I Think I Broke Something‘s “Face Lift”. If you’re familiar with the Finland based live duo then you must probably already be aware of their pretty different, unique and fresh style and sound which borders Indie Dance, Electronica, Punk and good ol’ hard Electro. And whether you like their music or not, which is pretty characteristic no doubt, you have to admit it has to be somewhat hard to remix. The good news is that Father, Laforcah and Hijack Da Bass who were the three artists chosen to remix the tracks from ITIBS‘ latest EP were up to the challenge and they most definitely delivered. A heavy and dark trash Electro/Techno remix of “To Hell” by the London based duo, rude Electro Punk by Italy’s loudest duo and trademark sounding energy filled Electro House by Hijack Da Bass was the outcome. If that sounds like the Electronic music you enjoy then you better check “Face Lift Remixed” out.

Preview: Bassnectar “Into The Sun” LP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/18/preview-bassnectar-into-the-sun-lp/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/18/preview-bassnectar-into-the-sun-lp/#comments Thu, 18 Jun 2015 17:56:55 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30670 [...]]]> Bassnectar is an artist that needs no introductions and even though we haven’t posted about him in quite a long time here we’re happy to have some fresh new music by him to talk about. His name might have been circulating music blogs lately for a few reasons, namely for his “taking the piss on EDM” move, but we will stick strictly to his music and how could we not when he’s just made public five tracks from his upcoming “Into The Sun” LP? The LP is out June 30 and we have to say that the expectations are very high after listening to these new tracks, which are available for download already when you pre-order the LP. From guitar rocking powerblasts to massive sounding bass music and from Trap to downtempo Electronica these new Bassnectar¬†tracks are exactly what every “basshead” could hope for and already set very high standards for his new LP (as if there was any doubt ever) both from a production standpoint as well as creative. What remains to be seen, or to be more precise heard, is the remaning eleven tracks from “Into The Sun” but until then simply enjoy!

Review: Irving Force “The Violence Supressor” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/18/review-irving-force-the-violence-supressor-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/18/review-irving-force-the-violence-supressor-ep/#comments Thu, 18 Jun 2015 17:00:51 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30667 [...]]]> Having some fresh blood coming your way today with Swedish artist Irving Force, who just had a new EP titled “The Violence Supressor” out a few days ago. A very recent find and one of those artists that really caught our ear, Irving Force‘s music is following the 80’s dark and heavy synthwave path. Sometimes more 80’s influnced Electronica, sometimes more rock/metal and other times straight heavy sounding Electro, his new EP includes 4 originals that should take you on a crazy, noisy and fun ride through neon-retro-futuristic soundscapes. Definitely a nice combination of elements and ideas that left us with a very nice buzzing in our ears, we will definitely be looking forward to hearing more by Irving Force. How about you?

Review: Hyper Vs Deadly Avenger “We Kill Giants” EP http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/16/review-hyper-vs-deadly-avenger-we-kill-giants-ep/ http://www.metalectro-music.com/2015/06/16/review-hyper-vs-deadly-avenger-we-kill-giants-ep/#comments Tue, 16 Jun 2015 17:05:44 +0000 http://www.metalectro-music.com/?p=30661 [...]]]> Keeping the fresh music and new releases coming and here’s some fresh blood too, with this collaboration EP by Hyper and Deadly Avenger. Out only a few days ago with 3 original tracks “We Kill Giants” is definitely a new release we enjoyed quite a bit and hope you will too. Staying far from EDM cookie cutter sound and structures, “We Kill Giants” EP is written and produced to rock and go hard and that’s exactly what it does. Definitely an EP that took us by surprise since we were unaware of both artists’ music until now (well, with their new projects at least) and “We Kill Giants” is no doubt a fine combination of different (hard) Electronic music styles. One to check out by all means if you’re into heavy and soulful Electronic music.
