The French Electronic colourful lawbreaking trio that goes by the name Le Catcheur, La Pute & Le Dealer is back with a new track and as they usually do, they once again graced us with a new music video too. Following their “Smell My Fingers” and “Death Race” singles and videos, “Guess Who’s Back” is the third official release by the trio. Elisa Do Brasil is also joining their ranks for this new single, which was made available yesterday as a free download. Don’t expect any high speed car chases and the trio breaking any laws like we are used to see them do often in their past videos but a video that follows in their footsteps of their debut “Smell My Fingers”, based on a nice Ballet-Dubstep/Drum N Bass choreography. Definitely one to check out so enjoy the video for some serious moves! Continue reading »

Hell-o all and we’re getting the day started in terms of blogging and in general with a new release that’s packing some serious bass and firepower, coming by two artists that haven’t been featured on Metalectro before so, here’s some tasty fresh blood too to go along your milk and cookies or any personal breakfast preferences. Regardless of breakfast preferences though and as long as you like being hit hard by lots of bass in the face there is no doubt you’re going to enjoy Igor Graphite‘s and Ekzoid‘s collaboration EP “Spaceport”, out on Heavy Artillery Recordings yesterday. Two Dubstep/Drumstep originals (don’t let the 4 track set below fool you), one of them featuring BBK on vocals and if you like the idea of robots marching to war (against dinosaurs maybe?) then this one will feel like a post-apocalyptic robot war nuclear heaven to your ears. Check it out! Continue reading »

Hell-o all and after a quiet last week as blogging turned out harder than we would have liked, we’re back to bass up your Monday and start the new week in a nice way. And we have some big new releases as well that came out last week, starting of course with Excision‘s “Codename X” album which released on Rottun Recordings a week ago. The Rottun and Dubstep big boss is back with 11 new tracks, some of which we’ve caught glimpses of or heard in full length before since they were released as singles and some unheard material. As for what you can expect by Excision in “Codename X”, ear pummeling Dubstep with megatons of bass and excess of power (of course) but that’s not all since the album comes with its fair share of Electro House, Glitch Hop and Drum & Bass/Drumstep tracks. Some on the heavier side and some on the more melodic, the collaborations on Excision‘s album aren’t missing either, with The Frim, Dion Timmer, Splitbreed, Messinian, Downlink, Space Laces and Pegboard Nerds appearing on “Codename X” and automatically making it a galaxy of bass music superstars. And if all of the above hasn’t convinced you about checking out Excision‘s album yet, just press play below and let your ears do their job. Continue reading »

Changing the mood and style with our second post of the day, since we are leaving the hard and dark Electro behind for some pretty nice Glitch Hop and Drum & Bass by Flybug and his latest single titled “Party Animal”. Released on Jet Set Trash a couple of days before the end of 2014 (December 29), “Party Animal” features once more the London (UK) based hip-hop trio Vice Versa on vocals and a remix by RoughMath, who transformed the Glitch Hop original mix into some super sick Drumstep. Nice production and lots of bass on both the original and remix and overall a pretty nice release which was definitely nice to see climbing to the Top 10 Beatport releases earlier this month. Check out “Party Animal” if you haven’t yet!

Another young artist who has been impressive so far with anything he has produced and especially his Dubstep tracks, is Boston (USA) based Imagin8 who last month had his new single “Midnight” released on Jet Set Trash. After a single on Most Addictive MusicImagin8 is back on the London bass heavyweight label with 2 new originals, one being a massive Dubstep and one a melodic and very catchy vocal Drumstep track. And if you enjoyed Imagin8‘s previous works and more specifically his dark and heavy Dubstep tracks (Pure Justice, Restless Slumber remix or Battle On The Hill) then you’re in for a special treat with “Midnight Shenanigans”, the opening track from “Midnight”, which is definitely both Imagin8‘s best original up to date and one of our favorite recent Dubstep tracks. Huge sound design and massive “growls”, dark atmosphere and big bad drops is what you can expect in this one, followed by some catchy and more EDM-esque vocal Drumstep in “When You Come Home”, which serves as the release’s b-side track. Two very good tracks with high production standards that you should check out by all means so hit play in the player below and enjoy.
