Weekend is coming so here’s a playlist to get the party started. And being Friday the 13th too I thought i’d keep it bloody and heavy. We hope you enjoy the selection (incl. tracks by Lektrique, Kroyclub, XKore, Laforcah, Le Castle Vania, Owl Vision, Father, 501, The Glitch Mob, I Think I Broke Something , Christine and Neosignal). You can also check the playlist on Soundcloud (here) although some of the tracks are only available as previews so Spotify is recommended for the full versions.

As for those of you following the blog from the early days you might remember the regular monthly mixtape series we used to have, which will be probably be replaced by regular playlists. As for the reason why the mixtapes won’t be coming back but will be replaced by these playlists, first we feel it’s more directly beneficial for the artists themselves, second obviously it’s less time consuming to only have to make the right track selection instead of having to do a mixtape with it and finally with the stricter copyright infrigement policies that are in place on Soundcloud nowadays it seems more appropriate.

Weekend Bass 3It’s that time of the week again and even though we haven’t been able to keep up with our bass addiction as much as we’d like to this week, it’s never too late to get the bass cannons loaded with some nasty sounds and get loud, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do just before we get into weekend mode. From Electro House to Dubstep and Drum N Bass, today’s track selection is packing some serious firepower (and we don’t necessarily mean the label) by Black Tiger Sex Machine and Lektrique, Figure (who hasn’t been blogged here for a while so a big bad “welcome back” to him), Hugeative (who brings some tasty fresh blood in today’s track selection), a massive collaboration by SKisM, Habstrakt and Megalodon and last but not least Muzzy (who just had a new EP out). So, ‘nuf said and we better let the music do the talking, so press play and enjoy!

Hell-o and greetings to all Electronic music saints and sinners out there. Mid week blogging session about to commence right now on Metalectro and we have some fresh music coming your way today, rich in big bad dirty bass and sounds (as usual). And what better way to start the day than this new collaboration original between Apashe and Lektrique? Out yesterday on Kannibalen Records, “Confess” finds the two artists joining forces to come up with an Electro House single which combines in a very well balanced way elements of both their personal sound and style, while staying close to the “kannibal nature” and sound we’re used to hearing from the Canadian label’s artists and releases. Plenty of room for forgiveness here even if you don’t like “Confess”, which we seriously doubt is going to happen anyway, so just hit play and check it out! Continue reading »

Hell-o everybody! After a “blogus interruptus” the day before yesterday i´m determined to give casting out the demons that constantly sabotage my work here another try, electro-hearted i´ll go in (and hopefully win) one more time! Starting on the spot with my mission and a appropriately hard and lovely dark electro freebie by LeKtriQue and Seek N Destroy going by the very suitable name “Atomic“, which is an excellent track by all means, delivering nothing but pure one-two-punch electro madness, staccato beats to stir your blood and beloved guitar riffs to cap it all off! Big, big ups to LeKtriQue & Seek N Destroy for this one, that´s the way we like it and i bet you do too – just PLAY IT LOUD and make sure to get this goody!!!

Time for the last post on my behalf already, but Zak will be taking over the next ones and keep your ears buzzing for sure, for the time being it´s me to call the shots though, so here comes yet another nasty tune and my pick for the “remix of the day” as well, today being delivered by Kai Wachi in form of his remix of the track “Horror” by LeKtriQue! Been released on Kannibalen Records late June on the “Terror”EP by LeKtrique alongside remixes by Seek N Destroy and Jean E La Plastique, this one delivers staccato madness in deathstep style, killing everything until your ears bleed and hence easily made it to be my pick for the “ROTD” being a damn badass remix! That´s it for my part, enjoy this track and hold the line for what Zak has to deliver!!!
