Muzzy‘s “F Minor Factory” almost slipped unnoticed through our radars somehow but our bass detection systems finally detected it and we’re quite happy they did. Released on Monstercat about a month ago, the UK artist’s new EP comes with 4 original tracks moving somewhere between Electronica, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. A well thought of, nicely flowing release combining Drum & Bass rhythms with more melodic parts, EDM-ish hooks and even powerfull guitar fueled ragers, “F Minor Factory” can get you off your ass and right into the pit/dancefloor while at the same time it can suck you in with its more atmospheric parts. Definitely a fun to listen to and well produced EP with the highlight being “Play”, which minus some vocal parts would make an ultimate banger (but it still rocks anyway). Continue reading »

The summer is officially here and what better way to get it under way than with some brand new F.O.O.L music? It had been a while since we heard anything new from the Swedish producer, leading us to think that F.O.O.L might be coming to an end but boy aren’t we happy to be wrong? “Showdown” was out just yesterday on Monstercat and despite it’s more summery feel and funkier vibe it definitely is the kind of track one would expect by F.O.O.L. Classic F.O.O.L melodies and sound, simply dressed up more for the occassion (being no other than the start of the summer). Maybe more reminiscent of French Electro acts like Daft Punk and Justice at points (but then again who isn’t?) F.O.O.L has shifted from the darker and overall melancholic feel to more “airy” and uplifting ones in “Showdown” and it actually works great in terms of giving a fresh tone to the track. Still though it remains an instantly recognisable F.O.O.L track and all those who love the Swedish artist’s previous music should enjoy this one too. Continue reading »

Weekend Bass 3It’s that time of the week again and even though we haven’t been able to keep up with our bass addiction as much as we’d like to this week, it’s never too late to get the bass cannons loaded with some nasty sounds and get loud, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do just before we get into weekend mode. From Electro House to Dubstep and Drum N Bass, today’s track selection is packing some serious firepower (and we don’t necessarily mean the label) by Black Tiger Sex Machine and Lektrique, Figure (who hasn’t been blogged here for a while so a big bad “welcome back” to him), Hugeative (who brings some tasty fresh blood in today’s track selection), a massive collaboration by SKisM, Habstrakt and Megalodon and last but not least Muzzy (who just had a new EP out). So, ‘nuf said and we better let the music do the talking, so press play and enjoy!

For those of you following closely the artist’s social media you must have probably known that F.O.O.L had a new EP coming on April 20th and finally it’s here! Out yesterday on Monstercat, the Swedish artist’s new EP is titled “Knight” and includes 4 new original tracks which combine those melodic trademark F.O.O.L sounds we’ve come to know and love during the last few years with darker and atmospheric parts and of course the neccessary amounts of bass and boost to get you moving and going wild (on the club dancefloor or your bedroom floor). And if that sounds a bit too familiar and expected for those of you who’ve been following F.O.O.L for a while, watch out for the last couple of tracks on theEP (“Fairytaler” and “Distorted Rreality”) for some fresh sounding mix of Synthwave, Dubstep and Electronica to spice things up. Definitely a new release to check out but then again isn’t that almost always the case with F.O.O.L? Continue reading »
