For those following Metalectro on a regular basis, you must (or should be aware) of an exclusive preview/work in proggress track we posted last week for an upcoming SBCR (Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo) & Haezer collaboration. For those who didn’t know SBCR will be the personal project of Sir Bob, while The Bloody Beetroots will remain a rock influenced electronic live act. The truth is that we weren’t able to get much info about this rumoured collaboration between the two when we got in touch with Haezer about it but almost immediately after that a SBCR track went online on Dim Mak‘s Soundcloud, from the upcoming “SBCR & Friends” Vol. 1 compilation which will be out on the 17th of March. The said compilation with feature six collaborations with Razihel, Moon Bounce and Eliza Bee & His Majesty Andre. And this only came to pretty much confirm that Vol.02 of “SBCR & Friends” is probably already in the works, with Haezer being one of the collaborators Sir Bob has personally hand picked. So, here’s the track that went public a few days ago from the upcoming Vol.01, titled “The Grid”, for those curious to get a taste. Continue reading »
A artist name that we have definitely missed the last few months is that of our favorite priest duo You Killing Me, who just had a new release out a few days ago on Freakz Me Out and therefore we have something new by them to talk about. The duo had their “Lonely” EP, which includes 3 originals, a few days ago. Two of the tracks have been made public for a while ago (“The 300 Spartans” and “Jean D’Arc”) on the artist Soundcloud but finally saw an official release on February 18, together with the EP same-titled track “Lonely”. Those who have been following You Killing Me‘s work for a while should know what to expect in “Lonely” which follows in the footseps of the most recent You Killing Me work and if you like their vocal driven yet powerful tracks then you’re going to love “Lonely”. And as if the new track/release wasn’t enough to make the duo’s fans happy, an unofficial video for “Lonely” was uploaded on You Killing Me‘s channel using footage from a short film by Adam Berg and Stink Digital titled “Philips Carousel” and let say that the result is looking great, making the whole audio-visual package and experience very enjoyable. So, here’s the unofficial video for “Lonely” and we hope you like it as much as we did. Continue reading »
Most of you must already be aware that Spor‘s debut album “Caligo” is now up for grabs as the noise been made around this release by the alter ego of Feed Me is both well deserved and big enough for any fan of electronic music to have escaped its frequencies. “Caligo” has been made available through BitTorrent (here) with a “pay as much as you want” option by mr Gooch and his Sotto Voce Records imprint for a few days already but is now available for full streaming on Spor‘s Soundcloud and we, as well as almost every electronic music blog, couldn’t have ignored its existence. 13 original tracks, featuring a couple collaborations with James Hadouken (of Hadouken) as well as Tasha Baxter. Definitely an album Continue reading »
Starting the day with a new release and we go straight to “dirty” mode as finally Dirtyphonics have made their comeback with a new release. Some of you might remember featuring their track “Power” (feat. Matt Rose) here a few months ago which made it clear that some new Dirtyphonics material was on the way, after quite some time. And finally the new EP has been released on Dim Mak Records a few days ago, including “Power” as well as three more original tracks. All four tracks on the EP are collaborations, with Matt Rose lending his voice on one more track. As for the other names appearing on Dirtyphonics‘ “Write The Future”, UZ, Trinidad Jame$, 12th Planet and Julie Hardy have all contributed to the new “dirty” EP. Great production and the sound we know and love by Dirtyphonics and despite maybe being slightly on the softer side than previous releases, admittedly this is a release of great overall quality, even if we’re not big fans of Dirtyphonics going Trap. Definitely one to check out, whether you’re a long term “dirty” fan or not. Continue reading »
For those of you keeping an eye on either of Black Tiger Sex Machine‘s or Astronaut‘s social media you have to be already aware that the two artists are collaborating on a new single and just a couple of nights ago a video emerged teasing us with a snippet of their upcoming collaboration “Rockers”, which will drop on the Canadian trio’s imprint Kannibalen Records on March 3. Luckily enough, a better quality audio teaser has just now appeared on Soundcloud too, confirming what we could already tell from watching the video teaser uploaded on Black Tiger Sex Machine‘s Facebook page – that “Rockers” will rock some socks of. Some good Electro House to look forward to so check out this teaser and mark the date on your calendars! Continue reading »
