After a much needed short break from blogging we’re back as of today and as expected when taking time off we have plenty of fresh new bassy electronic music coming since good music doesn’t wait. So time to catch up with what we’ve missed the last couple of weeks, starting with the release of the debut SBCR (Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots) EP released on Dim Mak a couple of weeks ago. 5 new original tracks, out of which 4 are collaborations with Razihel, Moon Bounce and Eliza Bee & His Majesty Andre plus “The Grid” which we have already posted and talked about before in a previous post. Overall a pretty enjoyable release and debut for the hard Electro scene legend Sir Bob, including tracks more reminiscent of The Bloody Beetroots older sound and some more “fresh” sounding ones and if anyhing he proves it doesn’t matter what name he’s releasing music under there is always a lot to look forward to in his new releases and sets the bar high right from the start for his SBCR project.

For those following Metalectro on a regular basis, you must (or should be aware) of an exclusive preview/work in proggress track we posted last week for an upcoming SBCR (Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo) & Haezer collaboration. For those who didn’t know SBCR will be the personal project of Sir Bob, while The Bloody Beetroots will remain a rock influenced electronic live act. The truth is that we weren’t able to get much info about this rumoured collaboration between the two when we got in touch with Haezer about it but almost immediately after that a SBCR track went online on Dim Mak‘s Soundcloud, from the upcoming “SBCR & Friends” Vol. 1 compilation which will be out on the 17th of March. The said compilation with feature six collaborations with Razihel, Moon Bounce and Eliza Bee & His Majesty Andre. And this only came to pretty much confirm that Vol.02 of “SBCR & Friends” is probably already in the works, with Haezer being one of the collaborators Sir Bob has personally hand picked. So, here’s the track that went public a few days ago from the upcoming Vol.01, titled “The Grid”, for those curious to get a taste. Continue reading »

Here’s another new release and a collaboration track by 2 pretty well respected names in the Dubstep-Drumstep-Complextro circles and how could they not be when they come up with such great tracks, whether on their own or as in this case collaborating? Razihel & Virtual Riot had their single “One For All, All For One ” out on Monstercat about 10 days ago and as expected it sounds pretty damn big. The super energised bassline, monster wobbles and the chip tune, video game sounds come together perfectly resulting in a great sounding hard hitting drumstep track. Simply put, this is as good as it gets if you like this sound and style, so you better make sure to check it out! Enough said, hit the button!

I’ll go on with some freebies next and i bet none of you will mind since freebies are always nice, especially when the kind that makes your mp3 collection bigger, better and louder. I guess that’s a bit personal but in any case i have some pretty nice ones coming on, starting with this track by Razihel. A name that should sound familiar to some of you from his recent collaborations with Savant or We Are Presidents and Alvino or by his own means, since he might be “fresh blood” on Metalectro but certainly is a name that has been around for a while. The track i’ve picked by Razihel preceeds both these collaborations though and is a pretty nice one too, following the Knife Party-esque sound and style that is being so popular and so good when done right. Check it out and grab it!
