Starting the day with a new release and we go straight to “dirty” mode as finally Dirtyphonics have made their comeback with a new release. Some of you might remember featuring their track “Power” (feat. Matt Rose) here a few months ago which made it clear that some new Dirtyphonics material was on the way, after quite some time. And finally the new EP has been released on Dim Mak Records a few days ago, including “Power” as well as three more original tracks. All four tracks on the EP are collaborations, with Matt Rose lending his voice on one more track. As for the other names appearing on Dirtyphonics‘ “Write The Future”, UZ, Trinidad Jame$, 12th Planet and Julie Hardy have all contributed to the new “dirty” EP. Great production and the sound we know and love by Dirtyphonics and despite maybe being slightly on the softer side than previous releases, admittedly this is a release of great overall quality, even if we’re not big fans of Dirtyphonics going Trap. Definitely one to check out, whether you’re a long term “dirty” fan or not. Continue reading »

Time to wrap things up and here comes today’s pick for the “remix of the day” which makes up for a nice contradiction as well since it brings together one of our least favorite artists, Steve Aoki and a name we love, Dirtyphonics. And why we love Dirtyphonics you might be wondering, in which case this remix serves as a great example, since the Frenchmen have taken a track that has nothing we could have possibly liked by Metalectro standards and transformed it into a powerful, bouncy remix. And if this trasformation and overall huge improvement in addition to the great production you can expect by Dirtyphonics isn’t enough to grant this the “remix of the day” title, then i don’t know what is. Check it out and have a great evening!

Here comes yet my pick for today´s “remix of the day”, don´t worry though it´s not my last post, i just changed my common order a bit. This one´s also kind of a foretaste, as Linkin Park whose new album “Recharged” is going to be released tomorrow on Warner Bros Records (in some countries that is) teamed up with many familiar artists such as Datsik, Schoolboy, Killsonik and Dirtyphonics, just to mention a few. So far none of those collaborators´ remixes are available on Soundcloud, besides the latter – the Dirtyphonics remix is there and kicks ass like fuck of course, but i don´t remember any track or remix lately by the French Dirtyphonics that didn´t deliver what one expects when it comes to their name anyway! Ready, set, play it loud!!!

Next-to-last comes not only my pick for the remix of the day, but a track that would suit a “old but gold” category perfectly if we just had one here since it has been released almost two years ago already but got lost for unexplicable reasons and therefore hasn´t been posted here yet…  Better late than never i´d still say and this remix done by Dirtyphonics on the track “Play For Real” by The Crystal Method feat. The Heavy is 666% worth being featured here imo being an outstandingly awesome remix, even for Dirtyphonics standards as i actually like everything they do, and i´m quite sure you´ll all love it every bit as much as i do, so PLAY IT LOUD FOR REAL!!!

And here´s yet the second new release of today´s blogging, also been launched two days ago but in contrast to my previous post way longer, 10 tracks lenght strictly speaking and without any remix featured on a true long player! It´s the latest release by Dirtyphonics named “Irreverence” LP, out on Dim Mak Records and featuring some tracks that have already been blogged here in the course of the according EPs (plus remixes), but also many more, even including four collabs with Steve Aoki, Modestep, Foreign Beggars and Liela Moss. A throughout decent and consistent LP by the French electronic dance music quartet and a must hear imo, so make sure to check all the tracks out!!!
