revenge-of-the-5thSo, following all the “May the 4th” jokes that took over social media yesterday it’s our turn to have some fun, dark side style, so here comes our “Revenge Of The Fifth” track selection including 5 tracks that we loved during April and think all heavy bass maniacs among you will love too. 5 original tracks from 5 different artists/releases and a mix of Electro, Dubstep and well, Zardonic who if anything transcends Electronic music boundaries and sub-genres more often than not while staying loyal to the Metalectro sound. As for the other four tracks we have chosen to exact our revenge with, Megalodon, Downlink & Terravita, Belzebass and BAR9 are all names that need no introductions and are more than qualified to ruin your neighbor’s day while making yours.

March has been one of those months that have been very kind to us with too many great tracks and releases coming by a great deal of artists/labels and since posting them all one by one would seem almost impossible we have decided to pick some of our favorite bass monsters released during the month in a 5 track selection that will melt your face with the massive drops and huge badass sound it includes. So fasten your seatbelts and lets get nasty, starting with Downlink & Twofold‘s collaboration original titled “Darkside”, out on Uplink Audio a couple of weeks ago. Some machine gun bass and filthy Dubstep to open the day with and if this one doesn’t melt your face it will certainly give you bloody eardrums and soften you up for our next track pick so check it out and keep reading/listening. It’s been almost one month already since the release of BAR9 & Phase One‘s collaboration single “Why They Need Us” on Firepower Records and actually it’s been a while since we had any post from either artist or label here so lets do something about that right now. For those of you who are into both melodic and hard hitting Dubstep but somehow and for whatever reason haven’t checked out “Why They Need Us” yet please stop whatever you’re doing for five minutes because you really need to check it out. The UK and Australlian based artists came together to deliver a tune which not only fits perfectly well with what we’re accustomed to hearing from Firepower Records and the specific artists but should also leave all fans and those familiar with the artists sound and style happy and satisfied to the max. Check it out! Continue reading »

Hell-o and a great week to all and since last week we didn’t make it to post some new music we will try to make it up to you this week and there is plenty of good bass filled new music to post about too. So let’s get to it and for starters we have Tim Ismag‘s new EP “Supervillains”, out on Firepower about a week ago. 4 new original tracks plus remixes by Eh!de, Spag Heddy and MineSweepa and that’s definitely an impressive line up no doubt. A dark Dubstep dominated release which brings together many different elements and influences ranging from Metal (Supervillains, Scorpion) to classic music and epic orchestral parts to even Middle Eastern folk music melodies (Xerxes) and of course heavy basslines and powerful Dubstep.  As for the remixes, no surprises there with all 3 of Eh!de, Spag Heddy and MineSweepa delivering what you would expect from them, which is nothing less than quality Dubstep. So here is Tim Ismag‘s “Supervillains”, pick your favorite bad boy, crank it up and unleash some destruction upon the world!

Continuing the new release bass frenzy that November brings and of course, as it’s usually the case lately and for good reason always, the blogging day would feel almost incomplete without a Firepower Records mention or release. Well, admittedly there is plenty of great stuff coming out Datsik’s imprint and probably more than we have been able to keep up with since our blogging time is quite limited lately. But in any case, efforts to catch up with both the Fire-power-house as well all other releases and sounds we deem worthy will be made. For now let’s get down to business with one more Firepower Records release which is no other than PhaseOne‘s “Touching The Stars” EP. 4 original tracks, with 2 of them (“Initiate” and “Six Feet Under”) moving towards the heavier Dubstep direction and 2 more melodic (and EDMesque if we can use that term) vocal tracks, with the Australian producer leaving the 140BPM Dubstep behind and going for some Drum N Bass in “Touching The Stars”. Our favorites, if we had to pick that is, would definitely be one of “Initiate” or “Six Feet Under” who are the 2 harder tracks on the EP as well. A very well put together release overall though anyway that should keep PhaseOne‘s (and not only) fans pretty happy so hit play and check it out!
