March has been one of those months that have been very kind to us with too many great tracks and releases coming by a great deal of artists/labels and since posting them all one by one would seem almost impossible we have decided to pick some of our favorite bass monsters released during the month in a 5 track selection that will melt your face with the massive drops and huge badass sound it includes. So fasten your seatbelts and lets get nasty, starting with Downlink & Twofold‘s collaboration original titled “Darkside”, out on Uplink Audio a couple of weeks ago. Some machine gun bass and filthy Dubstep to open the day with and if this one doesn’t melt your face it will certainly give you bloody eardrums and soften you up for our next track pick so check it out and keep reading/listening.

Second track in today’s selection is another fresh collaboration and a brand new release by Astronaut & Barely Alive, released just yesterday on Disciple Recordings. Taken from the Astronaut & Barely Alive “Rivals” EP which includes four collaboeration original tracks between the two artists, “Some Kind Of Monster” was the track that stood out (accoriging to our eardrums always) from the release. A Glitch Hop track that certainly has lots of power, nice groove and of course very high production standards, as we’re used to listen by the two artists anyway. Definitely a great track and by far our favorite from the EP, which combines elements, sounds and styles of many subgenres with its heavy bass, chopped vocal samples and strings/orchestral parts coming together in perfect harmony to create a lovely monster. Don’t miss it!

Next comes a remix and a track by the first time blogged here Bad Catholics (if not mistaken), taken from the SLDGHMR “Grid Living” EP, out three weeks ago on Always Never. Don’t let the somewhat cheesy and maybe too melodic/edm-ish beginning and vocals fool you into thinking we’ve gone soft or that this is some kind of mistake and we meant to include another track in our selection and just wait for the first drop to take you by surprise and come hit you in the face. Definitely a hard, big sounding and heavy remix by the USA based duo Bad Catholics that adds a very much needed edge to the vocal driven and definitely softer and more melodic original and release overall. Check it out!

The next pick brings back on the blog our favorite lasers and it’s been a while since we posted anything by Lazer Lazer Lazer but then again you know that every time a new track (whether original or remix) by these lasers goes online it’s going to be a tight, massive sounding and hard hitting bass bomb and “Concussion” is no exception. For those of you who were lucky to hear the briefly made public Lazer Lazer Lazer remix on The Prodigy “Wild Frontier” which didn’t stay public for more than just a few hours it must have served as a great appetiser for some more laser music and thankfully here’s some more, with an original track too! No release plans or download links have been provided for “Concussion” for the time being so if you want it and streaming isn’t enough you’re going to have a keep an eye on the artist social media and Souncloud page for more news about any release. Until then though here’s “Concussion” so check it out and enjoy!

And because four huge sounding tracks are a great way to melt your face but five are an even greater one, here’s one more and the last one for today’s selection coming by an artist that doesn’t need introductions really if you’re into the heavy, raw, badass Dubstep sounds. Greece’s D-Jahsta is definitely a producer who has a great relationship with the nasty side of Dubstep for the last couple of years and if you like it nasty then you’re probably familiar and a fan of his already. His latest EP “Two Steps From Hell” is out on Firepower Records today and if you missed the premiere, teasers or previews of it until now please get a grip and check out the EP same titled track below. And in case you’re not sure what you can expect from D-Jahsta in this one, how does reducing the number of walls and generally speaking any standing structures/buildings around to almost zero sound?
