Weekend Bass 02Another weekend is almost here and boy are we glad this strange, busy and uneasy (for a number of reasons) week is over? So, even though blogging some music during the week turned out to be harder than we would have liked, it feels quite appropriate to celebrate the arrival of the weekend with some tracks that have been patiently and quietly sitting in our “to blog” list. So here comes another weekend track selection and a 5 track playlist, including 5 badass and full of bass tracks that helped us make it through the week and we know will definitely help set the mood for the weekend too. So, check out these new beasts by The Glitch Mob, Downlink & Axonic (feat. Terravita), KJ Sawka, Modestep & Genetix and Must Die!, play them loud and have a great weekend y’all! Continue reading »

For those not really keeping up with social media and the latest in the heavy bass electronic music, Firepower Records is clebrating its 100th release and as every year and what better way to do that than the “Shell Shock Legends” compilation? 13 original tracks from all accross the 44 artist strong roster the label has built, including all the heavy artillery, with tracks from Datsik, Protohype, Tha Trickaz, Truth, Twine, Terravita, Helicopter Showdown, Getter, Downlink, PhaseOne and more. Needless to say the amounts of bass heard on the 13 tracks is both ear deafening and enormous. revenge-of-the-5thSo, following all the “May the 4th” jokes that took over social media yesterday it’s our turn to have some fun, dark side style, so here comes our “Revenge Of The Fifth” track selection including 5 tracks that we loved during April and think all heavy bass maniacs among you will love too. 5 original tracks from 5 different artists/releases and a mix of Electro, Dubstep and well, Zardonic who if anything transcends Electronic music boundaries and sub-genres more often than not while staying loyal to the Metalectro sound. As for the other four tracks we have chosen to exact our revenge with, Megalodon, Downlink & Terravita, Belzebass and BAR9 are all names that need no introductions and are more than qualified to ruin your neighbor’s day while making yours.

Hell-o all and after finally managing to deal with the unpleasant technical difficulties that have plagued Metalectroland the last day or so, we are finally back and ready to lauch our (b)assault with a couple brand new releases. One of them comes by the trio that goes by the name Terravita and we are pretty sure not many introductions are needed in this case. Terravita‘s LP “Ritual” is out today on Firepower Records featuring 14 originals altogether, with some pretty big collaborations among them with the likes of Obsidian, Datsik and KJ Sawka among others. Some of the tracks we have heard already some time ago as they were either released as singles or even as freebies but that hasn’t really taken anything from the production value of this very well produced and put together album. Nice flow, top production and nice variety between the 14 tracks who go from full bass Dubstep and Drum N Bass to Trap, with their fair share of rock/metal and even funk influences. It’s no secret that we aren’t big fans Trap here and that applies to Terravita too but despite that we quite enjoyed the album as whole. Our favorite tracks still remain some of the ones we had already heard before and it comes as no big surprise really that the previously released singles still remain some our favorite tracks on the album in their majotiry as they were probably carefully selected to be the singles for good reason. Ovreall, an album that is absolutely worth checking out, especially for those full bass tracks so here it is, hit play and listen through the whole album below!

Time for a freebie, the 1st of the day and a new original track by Terravita who are returning on Metalectro with one more bassive track. “Robot Rippin” is a track taken from Terravita‘s latest EP “Bach Off” which was out about 3 weeks ago on Firepower Records but because apparently and as both Terravita and Firepower Records claim they love all of their fans too much they decided to give this track out for free as well. Well, i don’t know how love you really feel by such actions and free track giveaways but personally i am quite happy with such gestures, especially when the track is as in this case an official and pretty nice great track too and far from being a leftover or an older track that never made it on a release for whatever reason. Terravita usual massive bass and even some nice rocking guitar action in this one, so check it out and grab it!
