Picking up the intensity as we go on with the second post of the day and here’s another new release coming by USA based Algo. Out on Downlink‘s imprint Uplink Audio yesterday, Algo‘s “Goon” EP comes with four Dubstep original tracks, with the opening track “Spaceboots Pt.2” being a collaboration with The Greys. Dark, heavy and “in your face” Dubstep with all four tracks following a bass filled path of speaker and eardrum destruction, just the way we like them. And if that sounds like the sort of Dubstep you enjoy then there is no doubt you’re going to enjoy Algo‘s “Goon” EP too, so make sure to check it out and let the whole neighbourhood know about it. Hell-o all and after a quiet last week as blogging turned out harder than we would have liked, we’re back to bass up your Monday and start the new week in a nice way. And we have some big new releases as well that came out last week, starting of course with Excision‘s “Codename X” album which released on Rottun Recordings a week ago. The Rottun and Dubstep big boss is back with 11 new tracks, some of which we’ve caught glimpses of or heard in full length before since they were released as singles and some unheard material. As for what you can expect by Excision in “Codename X”, ear pummeling Dubstep with megatons of bass and excess of power (of course) but that’s not all since the album comes with its fair share of Electro House, Glitch Hop and Drum & Bass/Drumstep tracks. Some on the heavier side and some on the more melodic, the collaborations on Excision‘s album aren’t missing either, with The Frim, Dion Timmer, Splitbreed, Messinian, Downlink, Space Laces and Pegboard Nerds appearing on “Codename X” and automatically making it a galaxy of bass music superstars. And if all of the above hasn’t convinced you about checking out Excision‘s album yet, just press play below and let your ears do their job. Continue reading »

Hell-o to all bassheads out there and today we have some pretty dark stuff coming up, starting with a new volume of “monstermania” from the horrorstep master Figure, who had his “Monsters Selected Remixes” Vol.02 released a week ago on his own imprint Doom Music. 6 remixes of some favorite monsters, coming by the likes of Downlink, Twofold, Lumberjack, BlackMask, Dack Janiels and Midnight Tyrannosaurus who all delivered powerful Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Drumstep. No lack of heaviness in this one, as expected and if you have enjoyed the previous “Monster” releases by Figure then you will definitely enjoy this one too so check it out by hitting play below and let hell break lose through your speakers. You know you want to!

Hell-o to all and i hope you’re having a great start in the new week! Monday again and well, a pretty annoying day for most since it’s back to the daily grind but as usual another Metalectro session is about to get started and hopefully make your day a bit or much better. So, tome to let the bass flow and for starters i have a new and pretty big release. This one has been getting some pretty huge promotion and exposure for months already, since the news of Excision, Space Laces and Downlink teaming up to form Destroid were pretty huge and the results of the first 3 tracks even more. As of last week though the Destroid full LP titled “The Invasion” has been released and as if these 3 bass monsters getting together wasn’t enough the LP also features collaboration tracks with Bassnectar, Far Too Loud and Ajapai and if this line up isn’t enough to make your eardums buzz out of bass and pleasure then press play below or visit a doctor.
