Following some consecutive “fresh blood” posts and music by artists we only came accross recently for the first time, it’s finally time to get back to some old nasties and bass maestros. Besides, you know that when Mähtrasher Records regulars aUtOdiDakT, Kroyclub, YOL (Your Ol’ Lady) and Trumpdisco come together to form “Team Bass” good things are about to happen. Five collaboration originals by the four artists who once again delivered a monster bass Electro release, like one would expect by them but then again what were the odds they wouldn’t? For those long time fans of “Team Bass” you might get surprised by the inclusion of a Trap track as well on the release, although to give credits where due, it’s not the usual generic Trap and it still maintains the character and sound which defines the label and artists. Good stuff no doubt, especially when good heavy Electro is getting so hard to come by nowadays. And while Europe is cheering for their favorite football national teams these days we’ll stick to our own passion and cheer for our favorite team. Bring it home “Team Bass”! Continue reading »

From Indie Dance to Electronica and Electro to Drum & Bass here’s what’s on our playlist heading into the weekend and we certainly hope you enjoy the tracks too. For anyone following the “four to the floor” European (mainly) trash Electro sound should be familiar with Maehtrasher Records by now, which has been delivering their mix of heavy Electro and techno constantly over the last few years. And the latest release by the German label, out yesterday and coming by Kroyclub, is definitely a nice addition to the Maehtrasher catalogue. Including 17 originals, including a couple of collaborations with Australian artist Your Ol’ Lady and label boss aUtOdiDakT among them, the USA based youngste’s second album is what the title suggests with his raw and heavy bass Electro, plus an added extra pinch of Electronica and Hip-Hop to spice things up and keep it tasty. So, check out the album preview and happy (raw) raving! Continue reading »

For those of you who tuned in to Metalectro yesterday (or who are simply subscribed to our YouTube channel) you already got a good taste of aUtOdiDakT & Kroyclub “Gang Signs Remixes” EP with the upload of the Polymorphic remix on the channel and even if you didn’t we are just about to rectify that. But except for the bass heavyweight Polymorphic remix “Gang Signs Remixes” is packing a heavy load since Haezer, Fukkk Offf, Your Ol’ Lady and the newcomers and ‘fresh blood’ (at least by Metalectro standards) Next Order have also contributed one remix each on the release and we really think there is no need for further explanations here as the artist names the remixer line up consists of should be more than enough to give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect. But even if it isn’t, here are the remixes themselves too so you can check them out anyway.

artworks-000059630557-ohcupl-originalHere’s some more fresh blood and the second new release of they day, coming from the duo Bassreketen on No Sense Of Place Records and you better hold on tight because it packs some heavy bass, with 2 originals and an impressive remixer line up consisting of aUtOdiDakT, FetOo and You Killing Me. And with such remixers you know you can’t go wrong, as is the case with “Signal” EP. To be honest the 2 originals didn’t impress us but can’t say the same about the remixes with all 3 remixers adding their signature sound and personal touch to the release. 2 very big remixes by aUtOdiDakT and You Killing Me in particular we have to say who took out the big bass cannons for this one so check it out!
