New Release: Bassraketen “Signal” EP

Here’s some more fresh blood and the second new release of they day, coming from the duo Bassreketen on No Sense Of Place Records and you better hold on tight because it packs some heavy bass, with 2 originals and an impressive remixer line up consisting of aUtOdiDakT, FetOo and You Killing Me. And with such remixers you know you can’t go wrong, as is the case with “Signal” EP. To be honest the 2 originals didn’t impress us but can’t say the same about the remixes with all 3 remixers adding their signature sound and personal touch to the release. 2 very big remixes by aUtOdiDakT and You Killing Me in particular we have to say who took out the big bass cannons for this one so check it out!

Last but not least it’s time for today’s pick for the “remix of the day” and what a great remix by one of the most unique, characteristic and original artists the hard electro scene has seen and heard the last few years. Gor FLsh just made avaiable this older remix he did for FetOo‘s “Fugitive” as a free download a few days ago and what a great remix it is as well. Of course, for those who might have missed it, the original is a great track too by all means, still though the Canadian artist managed to further improve it by delivering a remix that has the Gor FLsh very characteristic trademark sound, has kept all those elements that make the original so nice and overall found the perfect balance that makes this a very creative remix which maintains the identity of the original. So a rightful and fully deserving “remix of the day” and this is how we will wrap the first day of the week up, so make sure to check this one out, grab it and of course PLAY IT LOUD!!!

Time to wrap things up for today, although we might have an extra surprise post coming up later – we won’t be saying what so you will have to stay tuned for that. In the meanwhile it’s time to get nasty and turn up the bass, the raw thrash bass that Monophonique have been doing such a great job delivering over the years they have been producing that is. Dark, heavy and damn great are the words that come to mind when listening of the Monophonique remix on Bombastards track “Paranoia”. Taken from Bombastards recent release “Back To Roots” EP that was out on BADD Records featuring 2 originals plus 3 further remixes by DJ Antention, Hantise and FetOo, this is a pretty nice remix and one of the traks to stand out from the release, delivering a nice dark groove and therefore i decided to give today’s “remix of hte day” title! Back to another remix for now and the 2nd time in equal blogging sessions that FetOo‘s name is being mentioned on Metalectro. Last time it was the Frenchman remixing a track, this time the roles have been reversed as it is one of his own originals being remixed. Jan Waterman on remixing duties and a remix that personally quite enjoyed listening to as it is both hard, melodic, catchy and has a nice fow and groove to it. Nice production too and i think it’s fair to say that the producer from Netherlands really nailed this one, hence the “remix of the day” title. Unfortunatelly this is only a preview of the track, still a long enough one though to get a good taste and idea of what you can expect by the full version of it. Give it a listen!

Time to wrap things and let another Metalectro come to an end and for my last post for today i saved a pretty nice remix that brings back on Metalectro a name that has been featured here many times in the past, not as much recently though. FetOo is back and he brings with him Deadmau5 too (even if the Canadian doesn’t about it). Either way and in any case though, the Frechman came up with this nice free remix of “Strobe” and one of his best tracks in the last few months too imo. A remix that suited FetOo‘s style and sound very well judging by the result and gave a fresh breeze in FetOo‘s style which i always liked and still do but recently was starting to feel a bit too expected and lacking this fresheness that this remix certainly has. My pick for the “remix of the day” as well and a freebie, so check it, grab it and have a great evening!
