Following some consecutive “fresh blood” posts and music by artists we only came accross recently for the first time, it’s finally time to get back to some old nasties and bass maestros. Besides, you know that when Mähtrasher Records regulars aUtOdiDakT, Kroyclub, YOL (Your Ol’ Lady) and Trumpdisco come together to form “Team Bass” good things are about to happen. Five collaboration originals by the four artists who once again delivered a monster bass Electro release, like one would expect by them but then again what were the odds they wouldn’t? For those long time fans of “Team Bass” you might get surprised by the inclusion of a Trap track as well on the release, although to give credits where due, it’s not the usual generic Trap and it still maintains the character and sound which defines the label and artists. Good stuff no doubt, especially when good heavy Electro is getting so hard to come by nowadays. And while Europe is cheering for their favorite football national teams these days we’ll stick to our own passion and cheer for our favorite team. Bring it home “Team Bass”! Continue reading »

The Unique Yagark - Overcoming Pain_CoverFor those who like their Electro dark and Electronica bassy, Russian duo The Unique Yagark should be an artist name they should start familiarising themselves with. Following in the footsteps of artists like Proxy and Trumpdisco these guys are constantly getting weirder (in a good way) while staying busy by constantly coming up with new material. Mixing pretty much everything from Neuro and House to Electronica and Trap, their music keeps evolving, sometimes moving to a more club/dancefloor oriented directrion and other times to a strictly non-club but yet fun to listen to one. And when they offered us their new EP “Overcoming Pain” as a free download exclusively on Metalectro we were of course happy to oblige since we like our Electro dark, weird, bassy and rowdy and these 2 originals fit the description perfectly well. Check’em out and grab’em! Continue reading »

Going on with one more new release that those of you following artist social media closely must have no doubt been looking forward to since the first teasers and previews, we know we have at least! Far Too Loud‘s “Cocktails Of Awesome” EP is out on No Tomorrow Recordings since a week ago including 3 remixes of some Far Too Loud favorites by Michael White, Trumpdisco and 501 as well as a VIP mix of “Trailmixing” and boy (or girl – depending on your gender) aren’t these awesome indeed!? Starting with a huge remix by the lesser known but not entirely new to our ears Michael White who literally dropped a massive Electro House bomb full of energy with his remix of “Drop The Bomb”, this release sets high standards from the opening second and keeps them high right to the very last. Trumpdisco follows second with a more raw and bass heavy remix of “Light Sticks” and if you ever wondered what the result of Far Too Loud and Trumpdisco working together could sound like, here’s your answer right here. Last but not least come 501‘s Trap/Dubstep hybrid remix of “Doomsday Machine” to spice things up and add some variety to the release and of course the VIP mix of “Trailmixing” by Far Too Loud himself which comes to wrap up what is a killer release with lots of power and some high octane Drum N Bass. Starting the day with some Electro coming from Australian Trumpdisco, who recently had his “Third Pt. 2” EP released on No Tomorrow Recordings. Those of you following Trumpdisco and familiar with his work (recent and older) shouldn’t be surprised really by “Third Pt. 2“. A mix of the heavy Electro we got to know by the Australian bass heavyweight with new cleaner sounds and even a more housy or dark-tech feel at points, which on one hand should make “Third Pt. 2” easier accessible to a larger audience but also might disappoint some of the old school die hard trash-head fans. Nevertheless, it definitely showcased Trumpdisco‘s ability to come up with more than heavy basslines and even though it’s not among his heavier releases, we can’t say it doesn’t come with some classic Trumpdisco moments which we certainly enjoyed. Check it out!

Hell-o to all bass addicts out there and we hope you had a great weekend. Of course the post-weekend-stress disorder that comes on a Monday can never be fun so we thought we would pick up our keyboards and search for those heavy bass remedies that always help on rough Mondays. And Trumpdisco‘s new EP “Third Pt.1” is can definitely be considered such a release. Out a couple of weeks ago on No Tomorrow Recordings, which admittedly came a bit as a surprise since this isn’t exactly the typical sound we hear from the UK based label, “Third Pt.1” includes 3 new originals by Trumpdisco who delivers again what his fans would expect. The pulsing groove, heavy bass and few techno/breaks elements are coming together great keeping the EP interesting throughout and if you’re looking for some good Electro you should by all means check this one out!
