Review: Kroyclub “Raw Rave 89” LP

For anyone following the “four to the floor” European (mainly) trash Electro sound should be familiar with Maehtrasher Records by now, which has been delivering their mix of heavy Electro and techno constantly over the last few years. And the latest release by the German label, out yesterday and coming by Kroyclub, is definitely a nice addition to the Maehtrasher catalogue. Including 17 originals, including a couple of collaborations with Australian artist Your Ol’ Lady and label boss aUtOdiDakT among them, the USA based youngste’s second album is what the title suggests with his raw and heavy bass Electro, plus an added extra pinch of Electronica and Hip-Hop to spice things up and keep it tasty. Next up and the 2nd new release we have for you today comes by a name quite familiar to all of you who have been following Metalectro and love your bass and Electro raw and heavy. Kroyclub shouldn’t be needing too many introductions actually if you have been attending your Metalectro school of bass and neither should Maehtrasher Records, which is the label responsible for this release and baby bass monster that Kroyclub is. And talking about bass monsters, you will find many on “Oh Yeah, You Ain’t Lyin” EP since it gathers many of the Maehtrasher Records heavy artillery as 2 of the 6 originals on the EP are collaborations between Kroyclub with Nadisko and Leathrface and the only remix featured on the EP is a collaboration between aUtOdiDakT and Monophonique. If this doesn’t make up one hell of a heavy bass line up then we don’t know what does so check out these previews and full version of “Love Jean N.” below and let the bass fill your ears!
