For anyone following the “four to the floor” European (mainly) trash Electro sound should be familiar with Maehtrasher Records by now, which has been delivering their mix of heavy Electro and techno constantly over the last few years. And the latest release by the German label, out yesterday and coming by Kroyclub, is definitely a nice addition to the Maehtrasher catalogue. Including 17 originals, including a couple of collaborations with Australian artist Your Ol’ Lady and label boss aUtOdiDakT among them, the USA based youngste’s second album is what the title suggests with his raw and heavy bass Electro, plus an added extra pinch of Electronica and Hip-Hop to spice things up and keep it tasty. So, check out the album preview and happy (raw) raving! Continue reading »

For all fans of the heavy/trashy Electro sounds as well as all those getting tired of the same (Dubstep/Drumstep) sound which so many artists go for nowadays we have some good news coming, since Your Ol’ Lady‘s debut album is now out on German label Mähtrasher Records. Those of you familiar with the Australlian artist or label should pretty much know what to expect and let us tell you that this is some fine, raw, bass-heavy Electro House. No surprise though since Your Ol’ Lady has been doing this exact thing for enough years already and “Retrogade” has to be some of his best work. 8 tracks, with a couple collaborations with label regular Kroyclub and Ivarr among them, which bring together all those sounds and styles you expect on Mähtrasher Records releases by combining the heavy bass Electro/Electronica sound with House or Techno elements spiced up with an extra pinch of “weird and crazy”, which Your Ol’ Lady has always been adding to his music anyway. European sound at its fullest and an album all fans of those styles should definitely check out. Continue reading »

For those of you who tuned in to Metalectro yesterday (or who are simply subscribed to our YouTube channel) you already got a good taste of aUtOdiDakT & Kroyclub “Gang Signs Remixes” EP with the upload of the Polymorphic remix on the channel and even if you didn’t we are just about to rectify that. But except for the bass heavyweight Polymorphic remix “Gang Signs Remixes” is packing a heavy load since Haezer, Fukkk Offf, Your Ol’ Lady and the newcomers and ‘fresh blood’ (at least by Metalectro standards) Next Order have also contributed one remix each on the release and we really think there is no need for further explanations here as the artist names the remixer line up consists of should be more than enough to give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect. But even if it isn’t, here are the remixes themselves too so you can check them out anyway.

Time to call it day again, instead of picking a “remix of the day” i´ll close blogging with this free EP though, but since there are two remixes included anyway just feel free to choose your own ROTD! This EP by Ravolution named “Annihilation” has kindly been provided by Electro News Records few days ago and features one and same-titled original feat. The Unique Yagark, as well as two remixes by Blaster and Your Ol´ Lady. A decent EP that offers three banging tunes, so this is the perfect gift to say goodbye for today imo – just check them out, grab ´em and have a nice evening y´all!!!

Hell-o and cheers to everyone out there! Metalectro is back in business and so i am, after a loud blogging comeback by Zak yesterday it´s up to me today to bring your eardrums in motion again and i´ll not only tease your ears, but let your whole surrounding bass-quake with my first pick and new LP by Kroyclub named “Raw Rave 54” that has been released exactly three weeks ago on Maehtrasher! Altogether 11 original tracks, four of them being collabs with Autodidakt, Your Ol´ Lady and Monophonique, deliver cool and casually from the hip fired bass brutality with huge depth and partly trippy and hypnotic acid elements! Great tracks, impressive bass boost, and perfectly chosen collaborators make this LP truthfully basstastic, so don´t miss any tune but check them all out right now!!!
