Hell-o all and here we are starting the week a day later in terms of blogging but here we are nevertheless and we have some new sounds for you all, so fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off. Starting the day with a new release coming by a name and label that have both been featured here numerous times in the past, not as much recently though. The Slutgarden are back with a new EP titled “Odd Night” though, released on Freakz Me Out a few days ago and hence their return on Metalectro too. A nice 2 original track EP, staying on the hard, noisy and dark side that we both love and are used to by the French duo. Not the hardest or heaviest release we’ve heard by The Slutgarden but nevertheless a nice one so hit play below and check it out!
Staying on the dark side with yet one more post and here’s one more new release by an artist who we have openly and repeatedly expressed how much we like and hence we are very happy to be able to feature once more on Metalectro with a new release. Carpenter Brut who shouldn’t be a stranger to any fan of the dark synthwave movement nor Electro fan really is back with a new EP and once again delivers some nice 80’s vibes with the dark and hard Nu Disco/Indie Dance/French Electro mix of styles he’s known for. 6 new original tracks by the Frenchman which will keep all fans of his music and overall fans of the particular styles and sounds nailed to their seats throughout the 26 minutes of this Electronic journey that Carpenter Brut‘s new EP is. Definitely one to check out by all means!
Hell-o to all bassheads out there and today we have some pretty dark stuff coming up, starting with a new volume of “monstermania” from the horrorstep master Figure, who had his “Monsters Selected Remixes” Vol.02 released a week ago on his own imprint Doom Music. 6 remixes of some favorite monsters, coming by the likes of Downlink, Twofold, Lumberjack, BlackMask, Dack Janiels and Midnight Tyrannosaurus who all delivered powerful Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Drumstep. No lack of heaviness in this one, as expected and if you have enjoyed the previous “Monster” releases by Figure then you will definitely enjoy this one too so check it out by hitting play below and let hell break lose through your speakers. You know you want to!
Another young artist who has been impressive so far with anything he has produced and especially his Dubstep tracks, is Boston (USA) based Imagin8 who last month had his new single “Midnight” released on Jet Set Trash. After a single on Most Addictive Music, Imagin8 is back on the London bass heavyweight label with 2 new originals, one being a massive Dubstep and one a melodic and very catchy vocal Drumstep track. And if you enjoyed Imagin8‘s previous works and more specifically his dark and heavy Dubstep tracks (Pure Justice, Restless Slumber remix or Battle On The Hill) then you’re in for a special treat with “Midnight Shenanigans”, the opening track from “Midnight”, which is definitely both Imagin8‘s best original up to date and one of our favorite recent Dubstep tracks. Huge sound design and massive “growls”, dark atmosphere and big bad drops is what you can expect in this one, followed by some catchy and more EDM-esque vocal Drumstep in “When You Come Home”, which serves as the release’s b-side track. Two very good tracks with high production standards that you should check out by all means so hit play in the player below and enjoy.
Hell-o to all and today we start the day with the return of an artist who hasn’t been featured here for quite some time since he hasn’t been so active lately, but we are definitely glad to welcome him back on Metalectro with a new release. And thy name is Oxylice, who just had his comeback EP “Crossroads” released on Simplify Recordings just over a week ago. Including 3 original tracks “Crossroads” EP is a very nice mix of Glitch Hop, ElectroHouse (with the classic Oxylice complextro parts) and Dubstep with nice production and overall flow. Definitely a nice comeback release by the youngster from Belgium which makes us hope he’s back for good and is already cooking up some more fresh music. Check out “Crossroads” EP!
