Hell-o to all and today we start the day with the return of an artist who hasn’t been featured here for quite some time since he hasn’t been so active lately, but we are definitely glad to welcome him back on Metalectro with a new release. And thy name is Oxylice, who just had his comeback EP “Crossroads” released on Simplify Recordings just over a week ago. Including 3 original tracks “Crossroads” EP is a very nice mix of Glitch Hop, ElectroHouse (with the classic Oxylice complextro parts) and Dubstep with nice production and overall flow. Definitely a nice comeback release by the youngster from Belgium which makes us hope he’s back for good and is already cooking up some more fresh music. Check out “Crossroads” EP!

Hell-o all and here comes your daily dose of bass and with this being the only post for today due to time restraints we better make it a good one and the “We Are Not P(o)P” Pt.03 and Pt.04 double compilation by Jet Set Trash is perfect to do just that. With 27 originals and remixes released on the label last year and a variety of styles that range from Electro House and more commercial Dubstep by artists such as Virtual Riot, Heavygrinder and Oxylice, to nasty trashy bass by the likes of Skitsnygg, Laforcah, Tim Tonik, Gor FLsh and of course some guitar fueled Metalectro favorites by Zardonic, Imagin8, Rubber Spanner and Drop Goblin that come as no surprise being on a Jet Set Trash release, this is a guaranteed energy boost to get you through the rest of the week.

Time to wrap things up and call it a day as far as blogging goes and for those of you who know our blogging habits you probably know what’s coming. It’s my pick for today’s “remix of the day” and this one goes to the young and talented Oxylice for his remix on Ravolution‘s track “The Wall”. Both original and remix are taken from “The Wall” EP that was out on Trash De Disco in late September and featured 2 originals plus 1 more remix on the “The Wall” by Macrowave. A nice EP overall but this remix by Oxylice was the one that grabbed my attention and stood out according to my eardrums, partly because of the nice and sweet sounding guitar. A remix that proves Oxylice‘s growth and development over the last few months and confirms that he is a young up & comer to look out for without a doubt. Check it out and have a great evening!

Going on with a preview and a teaser of an upcoming single/EP release on Trash De Disco Records next which brings back on Metalectro a name that hasn’t been mentioned here for a while. The Belgian duo Ravolution return on your favorite bass blogging space with a new EP, well an upcoming EP actually and judigng from this teaser it sounds like it’s a pretty nice one too. The “Wall” EP will feature 4 tracks on it, 2 originals (“Wall” and “Spaces”) plus 2 remixes by Oxylice and Macrowave. The truth is that this teaser leaves more to be desired and personally would like to listen to more from the EP, which in fact makes it a nice teaser as it does its job pretty well. “Wall”, both the original and Oxylice remix, sound like my favorite track picks from this one so far without meaning that “Spaces” or the Macrowave remix (which could be be mistaken for a track by FetOo) don’t sound good too. Enough words though, here’s the teaser so hit play and check it out!

Time to wrap things up once again and i’ll be going back to the usual old undying habit of saving my pick for the “remix of the day” for last. Another freebie as well and a dubstep track actually by Oxylice, who i think is fair to say is proving once again that he’s equally comfortable producing electro or dubstep tracks. A pretty nice remix of Apashe‘s “Voodoo”, which is given as a freebie since it didn’t make it on the official release of Apashe‘s “Ritual” EP, out on Kannibalen Records. To be honest i’m not aware of the reason this remix wasn’t on the EP but the reason it could be that Oxylice only remixed the track after the EP was released. In any case, i quite enjoyed this remix and personally i like it more than the original so check it out, grab it and have a nice evening!
