Going on with another new release and new track that brings back on Metalectro the Swedish dark lord of Electronic music, the one and only Owl Vision! Super productive and inspired as always (or for the last 4-5 years at least) Owl Vision returns with a new single, titled “Maggots”, released on his own imprint Comorbid Records and you all know what that means. Dark enough Electro to send chills down your spine and the kind of music that will give you goose bumps and an ear infection. Video: Beatbender – Elevate (Official Video)

Staying on the dark path we took with today’s opening post and here’s Beatbender‘s official video for “Elevate”, from their upcoming debut album, out February 23 on Jet Set Trash. The video, which was filmed and directed by Hugo Magalhães of H-M photography, focuses on beautifully dark and atmospheric imagery which suits the mood of the track perfectly well. Besides it’s not unusual for a music video not to follow a story or narrative, something that works pretty well in “Elevate” and doesn’t make it a less enjoyable experience by any means but on the contrary it compliments the track. As for the track itself, it’s a nice, fresh and dark track which falls more under general Electronica rather than any EDM-esque Electro House sound, as is the whole “Elevate” LP too. Review: Un4Get “Shut Up!” EP

Going on with another new release by Russian hardcore rave duo Un4Get, out just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. “Shut Up!” is the title of Un4Get‘s second EP release, which includes 4 original tracks which is pretty hard to squeeze into any sub-gengres really. Dark, heavy and loud, “Shut Up!” EP brings together different sounds and mixes eveything from Electro Trash to Trap and Nuro to Breaks, all with enough bass to bring your roof down. Definitely not an easy listening or club friendly release by any means but then again if you’re looking for some heavy Electronic music that embraces the freedom of being “underground” and ignoring the Beatport charts (or any charts for that matter) then Un4Get‘s new EP is definitely for you. Staying on the dark side with yet one more post and here’s one more new release by an artist who we have openly and repeatedly expressed how much we like and hence we are very happy to be able to feature once more on Metalectro with a new release. Carpenter Brut who shouldn’t be a stranger to any fan of the dark synthwave movement nor Electro fan really is back with a new EP and once again delivers some nice 80’s vibes with the dark and hard Nu Disco/Indie Dance/French Electro mix of styles he’s known for. 6 new original tracks by the Frenchman which will keep all fans of his music and overall fans of the particular styles and sounds nailed to their seats throughout the 26 minutes of this Electronic journey that Carpenter Brut‘s new EP is. Definitely one to check out by all means!
