Going on with another new release by Russian hardcore rave duo Un4Get, out just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. “Shut Up!” is the title of Un4Get‘s second EP release, which includes 4 original tracks which is pretty hard to squeeze into any sub-gengres really. Dark, heavy and loud, “Shut Up!” EP brings together different sounds and mixes eveything from Electro Trash to Trap and Nuro to Breaks, all with enough bass to bring your roof down. Definitely not an easy listening or club friendly release by any means but then again if you’re looking for some heavy Electronic music that embraces the freedom of being “underground” and ignoring the Beatport charts (or any charts for that matter) then Un4Get‘s new EP is definitely for you. Staying on the bassy and underground side of the dirty Electro sounds and going on with one more new release and the 6th (if not mistaken) official EP release by Russian duo The Unique Yagark who no doubt have been making steps forward during the last few months. And if their “Alina” EP, released on Jet Set Trash back in June 2014, was the duo’s best work up to date (which it was) their new EP “Acid Dance” comes along to take The Unique Yagark on a new all time high. Bigger, better, louder and definitely more mature than any of their previous releases, “Acid Dance” EP is solid proof that these guy are not only making big steps forward with every new track they release but leaves the impression that there is a lot more to come by them too. 3 new originals plus 2 remixes by Troublegum and Karluv Klub, which admittedly are a perfect match both in terms of sound and mood with The Unique Yagark‘s originals and a very well balanced release overall that should satisfy the hardcore ravers, trashy bassheads and generally speaking all die hard Electro fans. Check out the preview!

Here’s another freebie and a remix taken from an EP given as a free download through the Electro Trash page. Raver’s Nightmare “Slaughterlord” Free EP features 3 orginal tracks and a whole bunch of remixes (10 altogether – yes ten) and brings together some pretty nasty sounds by some producers you might be familiar with and some you might not. Dizelkraft, 1906, Mr. Bigspender, Acrobanjo and of course Rocket whose remix i picked to post here today are some of the names you might recognise on the remixers line up and if you’e looking for a trashy lo-fi EP to get loud and nasty with check and grab this one out. For my taste Rocket‘s remix stood out of the rest and in fact it’s been a while since the Mexican producer has been featured here so i was glad to have one more banger by him and a reason to bring him back home on Metalectro! Check his banging remix of “Showdown” out and grab it here!

Here comes my first freebie of the day and a Free EP by Hijack Da Bass that was made available a few days ago through Electro Trash. Featuring 2 new originals, “Colossus” EP is certainly a classic fat Hijack Da Bass release, featuring all those trademark and characteristic elements the Portuguese duo has been giving us the last couple of years. Hard hitting complextro influences with a hard electro house and even trashy or dubstep edge to it at times, Hijack Da Bass have been certainly showing ready to take things to the next level with their most recent work and personally i am really looking forward to their next official EP release, as all signs seem to be leading to the conclusion that it is going to be a pretty big release. Until then though lets stick to the facts rather than speculate things that might not come to be and the fact is that “Colossus” Free EP is here, so check and grab it!

I told you i was gonna go nostalgic and hit you with a couple of older tracks before i let you all have a nice quiet (not recommended) evening and so here’s my 2nd “blast from the past” and last post for today. As expected it is a remix and it’s also my pick for the “remix of the day” which brings back on Metalectro a couple of names that haven’t been featured here for a while. The Catevari, who produced the original mix of “Vesuvius” about a year ago on one hand and Spunker on the other who came up with this remix of “Vesuvius” some time ago which got uploaded as a freebie a few days ago on Electro Trash. The treturn of the prodigal son, as Spunker was one of those loved artists on this blog (and not only) that have either stopped producing or changed their style the last year, unfortunatelly for all of us. So, here’s a reminder of Spunker‘s aggressive electro punk and hopes of a come back. Check it out, grab it and have a great evening!
