Review: Un4Get “Shut Up!” EP

Going on with another new release by Russian hardcore rave duo Un4Get, out just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. “Shut Up!” is the title of Un4Get‘s second EP release, which includes 4 original tracks which is pretty hard to squeeze into any sub-gengres really. Dark, heavy and loud, “Shut Up!” EP brings together different sounds and mixes eveything from Electro Trash to Trap and Nuro to Breaks, all with enough bass to bring your roof down. Definitely not an easy listening or club friendly release by any means but then again if you’re looking for some heavy Electronic music that embraces the freedom of being “underground” and ignoring the Beatport charts (or any charts for that matter) then Un4Get‘s new EP is definitely for you. I´ll close the day with track that is actually available for quite some months already, but since i didn´t blog for a while i just found this outstanding remix recently, and being madly in love with this killer remix from the first listen on i decided to pick this one for a belated “remix of the day”! It´s the Ravolution remix of “Beer, Butts & Boobs” by Un4Get feat Partysmartie, being featured alongside the original and four further remixes by Sunko, Lo-Fi Bitches, The Unique Yagark and Dizelkraft on the same-titled free EP, that has been given through Shax Trax. A great EP overall, don´t get me wrong, but this remix by Ravolution stood out in such ways that i just had to feature it solely and devote the attention it deserves imo! The driving pace, amazing flow and beloved roughness make this one such a great banger and even greater track to close the day with imo – so turn it up, get blown away, grab this goody and have a banging evening!!!

Ringing the bell for the second round, in case you hit the play button already you should even hear it, so here´s freebie number two and a track that got just uploaded today by Partysmartie & Un4Get named “Deadly Collaboration“! And hellyeah, this collaboration turned out very much to my liking, i´d even say this is definitely the best track by Partysmartie i heard since quite a while, a compliment that goes of course to equal shares to Un4Get as well, especially since this is the 1st time for Un4get from Russia being featured here! Brutal from the very beginning and throughout a hard kicking but danceable banger that shouldn´t be missed – give it a listen by all means & grab your copy too!!!
