Having opened the day with a Dubstep new release we will stick to some more of that actually and another new big Dubstep single, coming by Excision & The Frim (feat. Luciana) on Rottun Recordings. Released just a couple of days ago but anticipated since the track was heard on Excision‘s “Shambala 2014” mix back in September, “Night Shine” is what you all you would expect and hope for really by the Canadian and young but very promising and definitely already musically mature The Frim. Powerful and catchy this collaboration is simply put great and having listened to the track a few times (ok, maybe a few times too many to be precise) there isn’t anything that could have been done different in order to make it better or anything that we can think of at least. So to wrap this up since there isn’t much else to be added here except for the obvious “must check it out”, if you are looking for a huge Dubstep track for the next few months look no further and keep this close (in your iPhones, iPods and all mobilve devices really) so you can blast it anywhere and anytime!
Continuing the new release bass frenzy that November brings and of course, as it’s usually the case lately and for good reason always, the blogging day would feel almost incomplete without a Firepower Records mention or release. Well, admittedly there is plenty of great stuff coming out Datsik’s imprint and probably more than we have been able to keep up with since our blogging time is quite limited lately. But in any case, efforts to catch up with both the Fire-power-house as well all other releases and sounds we deem worthy will be made. For now let’s get down to business with one more Firepower Records release which is no other than PhaseOne‘s “Touching The Stars” EP. 4 original tracks, with 2 of them (“Initiate” and “Six Feet Under”) moving towards the heavier Dubstep direction and 2 more melodic (and EDMesque if we can use that term) vocal tracks, with the Australian producer leaving the 140BPM Dubstep behind and going for some Drum N Bass in “Touching The Stars”. Our favorites, if we had to pick that is, would definitely be one of “Initiate” or “Six Feet Under” who are the 2 harder tracks on the EP as well. A very well put together release overall though anyway that should keep PhaseOne‘s (and not only) fans pretty happy so hit play and check it out!
Hell-o all and as you might have noticed it’s been getting harder and harder to keep the good music flowing endlessly through the blog lately, due to multiple reasons really but mostly due to time limitations. Well, to be honest the good music that we really feel deserves to be heard is also getting less and less and harder to come by which definitely doesn’t help but we won’t get into that for now and try to stay focused on those few good releases and track that have been echoing througout the Metalectroland lately. And one of those releases comes by Finnish duo I Think I Broke Something who recently had their debut single “Superman Sabotage Clan” release on Jet Set Trash. Fresh, unique, unbelievably talented and super-stylish, I Think I Broke Something mix together influences that vary from music genres and sounds as diverse as Indie, Pop, Punk Rock, Electroclash and Electro Trash. All that with some crazy vocally dominated Breaks to top it all of. With them, Hanuman Tribe, CrazyMT and Dizkodeath who delivered 3 killer remixes. A hybrid Dubstep-Indie remix by Hanuman Tribe, a pure old school Electroclash remix by CrazyMT and some raw Electro Punk from the master of the kind Dizkodeath make I Think I Broke Something‘s debut single an impressive release no doubt so check out the preview below by all means and keep an eye/ear on these guys for more!
Next up, another new release and a big (ok, huge) collaboration original between Dodge & Fuski and Barely Alive who need no introductions really and a track that all those of you into Dubstep will love no doubt. Melodic and powerful Dubstep, “Poison” is out on Disciple Recordings since a week ago (October 6) and if you expect anything else than top production and big bass then you obviously aren’t familiar with the names involved in this collaboration. Maybe slightly more on the melodic side than we would have liked here on Metalectro but that doesn’t make it any less of a good track, besides we can’t say that “Poison” lacks in energy or power by any means. So, for all you Dubstep fans here’s something to make your day, enjoy!
Hell-o all and we hope you had a great weekend! Blogging has been getting a bit of a hard task unfortunatelly lately with the Metalectro Vol.04 “Demons Roar” Original Track Contest results still pending and a few other things we are working on behind the scenes but we’ll try to squeeze some posts into this Monday since all of us can do with an energy boost. So, a few super-energised posts coming today, starting with OCTiV‘s new EP “Infernal” which is out on FiXT and that sweet guitar fueled Metalectro sound we love so much! 6 originals with some nice collabs among them and Celldweller lending his voice on “Infernal”, which is definitely standing out from the rest of the collaborations imo. A dark and well balanced release that mixes the Metal sound with Electro/Dubstep elements and keeps the pedal to the metal, so definitely one to check out by Metalectro standards!
