CelldwellerCelldweller‘s new album “End of an Empire – Chapter 03: Dreams” is out today via his own imprint FiXT and of course Metalectro couldn’t be missing from the party, so we joined in by getting an exclusive track premiere for all you cellmates. The album comes with 18 in total tracks (originals and remixes) with some more known artists like Combichrist and some lesser known ones remixing tracks for the album. We got our hands on the remix Hecq did on “Good L_ck (Yo_’re F_cked)” which is one of our favorite remixes out of Celldweller‘s new album. A heavy and more to the Electronic side remix, as some of the other remixes felt like moving a bit more to the rock direction, which combines Neuro basses and deep sound design with some characteristic Celldweller sounding parts in a lovely and somewhat weird way. Definitely a remix we enjoyed quite a bit, so check it out as well as the rest of the album here! Continue reading »

Going with a pretty brutal Dubstep track next and it’s fair to say that Sullivan King‘s suits the Metalstep and Metalectro description, standards and tastes by all means. Out last month on Rottun Recordings, “Terminus” has all those ingredients that make a proper banger and you know that when we say “banger” we really mean it and it’s not just a word used to describe tracks that are non-heavyweights. Dark, aggressive, guitar and screamo vocals reinforced and in one word brutal, Sullivan King delivers hell and mayhem for a bit more than 4 minutes in “Terminus”, the way only a few artists can and is definitely entering the Metalectro pantheon alongside names such as Zardonic, Gor FLsh, Laforcah, Drivepilot (to mention a few) and many other beloved artists that are too many to mention here. Definitely a hard hitter and a must check out track, whether you like Dubstep, Metal, Electro or any hard and aggressive music style and genre really so hit play and blast this one as loud as you can!

Hell-o all and we hope you had a great weekend! Blogging has been getting a bit of a hard task unfortunatelly lately with the Metalectro Vol.04 “Demons Roar” Original Track Contest results still pending and a few other things we are working on behind the scenes but we’ll try to squeeze some posts into this Monday since all of us can do with an energy boost. So, a few super-energised posts coming today, starting with OCTiV‘s new EP “Infernal” which is out on FiXT and that sweet guitar fueled Metalectro sound we love so much! 6 originals with some nice collabs among them and Celldweller lending his voice on “Infernal”, which is definitely standing out from the rest of the collaborations imo. A dark and well balanced release that mixes the Metal sound with Electro/Dubstep elements and keeps the pedal to the metal, so definitely one to check out by Metalectro standards!

Hell-o all and after a long but neccessary silence from my side, i am back in blogging duties and ready to get loud and dirty! So, i hope you all had a great weekend and you’re ready to get heavy because that’s what you’re getting on Metalectro! And speaking about heavy here’s today’s opening post and it’s a dark, heavy and twisted new release by Celldeweller who’s back armed with his guitar and a lot of bass! 3 originals on the “Zombie Killer” EP, as heard on the soundtrack of Dead Rising 3 (Xbox One). Pretty fitting music as well if you ask me for some nice good old fashioned zombie killing business full of exploding heads and chainsaw splitting action. Tasty stuff indeed and even if i was never big into video games myself this sounds like good fun, judging by these 3 tracks at least. Nothing else to add here really, just hit play below for some Celldeweller evilness!

Hell-o all and here we go, starting the week with something special, a Metalectro Special that is, and an interview that due to some internet connection problems we didn’t get to post yesterday, so we thought we would start the day with it. As for who the artist interviewed is, he’s one we have been trying to get a hold of for a while now and we finally managed to get him to speak to us!  Celldweller is no doubt an artist with a unique style and character in his music and it so happens to fit very well with our taste and Metalectro standards. So, after all those times he has been featured here with his music, now it’s time for the man behind Celldweller to make an appearence too and let us know what’s going on upon the Celldweller “black star”.
