Savant is a name that really needs no introductions among EDM fans (and not only). The super productive and creative artist from Norway has already built a resume and discography just in the last couple of years that would take most artists a decade to build. And now, he takes things to the next level (if there is a next level when talking about Savant) by employing the services of another creative genius, Mike Diva, for the official music video of his track “Kali 47”, from Savant‘s “Cult” LP released on SectionZ Records. The result is a visually stunning, effects laden steampunk themed video, based on a Western movie concept. Definitely impressive and a great match for Savant‘s music, which needed a special visual treatment and Mika Diva more than delivered. If you haven’t watched it yet make sure you sit comfortably and prepare yourselves to be awed by this piece of audiovisual greatness! Enjoy! Continue reading »

A new release that really impressed us this week was I Think I Broke Something‘s new EP “Face Lift”. “Face Lift” might be just the 2nd official release of the live Electronic duo act from Finland but these guys have set very high standards since day one with their debut single “Superman Sabotage Clan” and they haven’t let us down yet, not for even a fraction of a moment. Out on Jet Set Trash a couple of days ago, ITIBS‘ new EP comes with three original tracks which are hard to place in any one specific (sub)genre since they combine a wide range elements from Indie to Electro and Punk to Breaks. What really matters though and is of the outmost importance with this emerging duo is their fresh ideas as they have their own style and character, something that is quite rare nowadays in the Electronic music world. And “Face Lift” EP comes to confirm that just on time as well with its changing moods from one track to the next. From lighter to dark and noisy Electro/Electronica and Punk-y aesthetics, these guys have it all. And if listening to “Face Lift” EP doesn’t convince you then there is nothing else we could possibly add that might. Continue reading »

Here comes a preview of the new Dub Elements LP “Experiments”, out today on Mass Bass. An album that includes twelve original tracks by the Spanish duo moving between Electro House, Dubstep, Trap, Breaks, Drum N Bass and pretty much covering all spectrums and subgenres of “EDM”. Some heavier and harder than others, some more main stage and Beaport chart targetted, all tracks sound good and tight from the production side although being perfectly honest we would prefer to hear more of the harder and heavier sound (e.g. “Bullshit”, “Yesterday And Always”, “Sulphur”) and less of the mainstream one. Still, for those who are more into the whole EDM and big festival sound than we are (and we are not that big on that sound to be honest) “Experiments” LP should be a release they will enjoy so check it out. Boys and girls fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off because Spag Heddy is back with one more new EP, this time on Rottun Recordings and if there is one thing we can be certain of even before hitting play is that this one is coming with some megatons of bass. His new EP is titled “Here I Am” and includes three Dubstep originals (no surprises here) and some of Spag Heddy‘s best work recently in our opinion. Top production, as expected, by an artist who’s really taking the Dubstep world by storm lately with releases on most (or quite a few at the very least) of the major labels in the style. What remains to be seen is what comes next for Spag Heddy which given how productive he’s been recently won’t take long to find out we bet. But until then, check out “Here I Am” EP for some tasty bass music and bon appetit! Continue reading »

Haezer + SBCRHell-o all and we have some incoming big news for you, accompanied by even bigger questionmarks, expectations and hopes that this video that surfaced on Sir Bob’s and Haezer’s social media is actually a work in progress which will sooner or later reach our eardrums as a finished track. The fact remains that this short clip of a collaboration between SBCR and Haezer went public recently, teasing the hell out of the fans of both artists and lovers of hard Electronic music in general. From our side we tried to talk with Haezer a bit and get some more info about it although we weren’t able to get anything solid since it’s too early to know (or disclose) any details. What we managed to get out of our short chat though is confirmation that this clip is an actual collaboration of a hybrid Electro – Techno track the two of them are working on together and we can only hope there is more to follow and eventually a full track. Excited with the idea? We most certainly are!
