Continuing with some new music and a release we here on Metalectro were looking forward to for some time now, especially after the release of the official video for Beatbender‘s “Elevate”. But as of today the duo’s debult album “Elevate” is finally available through Jet Set Trash and let us tell you that it doesn’t fall short of any expectations one might have had from the video, lead singles or enthusiastic and boasting press release. “Elevate” LP comes with 10 originals that move between Electro, Techno and Electronica and having listened to the full release (a few time already) it definitely is an album of high quality and production standards. Dark, heavy, elegant and fresh are the words that come to mind to best describe Beatbender‘s album as a whole. From the first second of the opening and mysterious track, titled “The Strange Story Of Elisa Lam” (those of you familiar with the actual story of Elisa Lam will grasp its beauty on another level), to last one of the chilled Drum & Bass “Outro” this is both a great album and one you should definitely not miss! For those following Metalectro on a regular basis, you must (or should be aware) of an exclusive preview/work in proggress track we posted last week for an upcoming SBCR (Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo) & Haezer collaboration. For those who didn’t know SBCR will be the personal project of Sir Bob, while The Bloody Beetroots will remain a rock influenced electronic live act. The truth is that we weren’t able to get much info about this rumoured collaboration between the two when we got in touch with Haezer about it but almost immediately after that a SBCR track went online on Dim Mak‘s Soundcloud, from the upcoming “SBCR & Friends” Vol. 1 compilation which will be out on the 17th of March. The said compilation with feature six collaborations with Razihel, Moon Bounce and Eliza Bee & His Majesty Andre. And this only came to pretty much confirm that Vol.02 of “SBCR & Friends” is probably already in the works, with Haezer being one of the collaborators Sir Bob has personally hand picked. So, here’s the track that went public a few days ago from the upcoming Vol.01, titled “The Grid”, for those curious to get a taste. Continue reading »

Haezer + SBCRHell-o all and we have some incoming big news for you, accompanied by even bigger questionmarks, expectations and hopes that this video that surfaced on Sir Bob’s and Haezer’s social media is actually a work in progress which will sooner or later reach our eardrums as a finished track. The fact remains that this short clip of a collaboration between SBCR and Haezer went public recently, teasing the hell out of the fans of both artists and lovers of hard Electronic music in general. From our side we tried to talk with Haezer a bit and get some more info about it although we weren’t able to get anything solid since it’s too early to know (or disclose) any details. What we managed to get out of our short chat though is confirmation that this clip is an actual collaboration of a hybrid Electro – Techno track the two of them are working on together and we can only hope there is more to follow and eventually a full track. Excited with the idea? We most certainly are!

Hell-o all and it’s not very often that you will see us posting about mau5trap releases on this blog so in case you’re wondering whether we’re might be going “soft” we ensure you that isn’t the case but on the contrary it’s the specific release that features a couple of tracks by two artists you most likely know and love as much as we do that really caught our attention. The majority of the tracks on “We Are Friends” Vol.03 might not be down our alley to be honest but but we couldn’t ignore these two bright (or actually dark if we want to be more precise) exceptions by any means. One of them comes by an artist who has been a member of the mau5trap roster for a few months and is no other than Proxy, who has contributed with a heavy trasher titled “Oldboy” on the release and let us tell you, this is Proxy at his best (or very close at least). The second track we have picked from “We Are Friends” Vol.03 comes by Frenchman Neus, who too joins mau5trap and his new track is really something of a special treat. “Amanita” is the title of Neus‘s new track who’s going for some atmospheric and relaxed guitar driven Electronica. Quite a soundtrack feel to it and definitely great intro music for anything you do, even more to open today’s blogging session with. Here are both tracks so check them out! Continue reading »

Hello-o and after a silent period we’re back in full action and ready to make some noise, with some of our favorite artists and sounds. Quite a bit of catching up to do as well since this is our first post of 2015, meaning there are still a few 2014 releases to blogged about since it’s never too late to blog about good music. So, let’s get on it and for starters here’s Beatbender‘s latest single “Elevate”, which was out on Jet Set Trash a month ago, including remixes by Hijack Da Bass and Noblesse. “Elevate” is the second single from Beatbender‘s upcoming LP and another dark, yet fresh, different and elevating track. As for the remixes, Hijack Da Bass gives the original the trademark hard Electro sound we have come to know and love by HDB, whereas Noblesse adds his very own personal touch to the release with an 8 minute long Electro-Techno remix. Definitely a single which especially being the follow up release of Beatbender‘s “Anti Optimism” leaves us vert curious about what the duo’s debut full album will sound like as judging by what we’ve heard so far there won’t be any shortage of moodswings, variety and freshness while at the same time maintaining a dark atmosphere throughout the LP. But let’s wait to hear to more tracks/previews from the full LP before making any further assumptions. Until then, check this one out!
