Hell-o all and it’s not very often that you will see us posting about mau5trap releases on this blog so in case you’re wondering whether we’re might be going “soft” we ensure you that isn’t the case but on the contrary it’s the specific release that features a couple of tracks by two artists you most likely know and love as much as we do that really caught our attention. The majority of the tracks on “We Are Friends” Vol.03 might not be down our alley to be honest but but we couldn’t ignore these two bright (or actually dark if we want to be more precise) exceptions by any means. One of them comes by an artist who has been a member of the mau5trap roster for a few months and is no other than Proxy, who has contributed with a heavy trasher titled “Oldboy” on the release and let us tell you, this is Proxy at his best (or very close at least). The second track we have picked from “We Are Friends” Vol.03 comes by Frenchman Neus, who too joins mau5trap and his new track is really something of a special treat. “Amanita” is the title of Neus‘s new track who’s going for some atmospheric and relaxed guitar driven Electronica. Quite a soundtrack feel to it and definitely great intro music for anything you do, even more to open today’s blogging session with. Here are both tracks so check them out! Continue reading »

Staying on the new release path for now and this one is actually pretty new and fresh, both in terms of release date and sound that is! It’s been a while since Le Castle Vania has been featured here actually but it seems him and us both were getting ready for some big things and big come backs! And in our case we might still be a bitr secretive regarding our plans but Le Castle Vania went all banging and public with his new EP “Prophication” which was out on Mau5trap and damn was it worth the wait!? 4 originals, sounding tight and bringing back some of the older Le Castle Vania banging sound. The opener “Prophication” sets you up perfectly for what’s about to follow with the banger “Raise The Dead” feat Cory Brandan on vocals and bringing back memories of early Le Castle Vania and his remix of “Zero Machine”. “Disintegration” is a pure vocal driven hard and kick ass electro track while the last track “Incarnation” concludes what’s a pure hard electro EP completely clean of dubstep and drum & bass influences. A release i personally really enjoyed even if it might sound a bit too polished at points. I hope you will too!
