It might have been a while since we heard any new music by M.A.D.E.S but finally the French artist is back with a new EP titled “Return” and well, not only it’s very suitably titled but also a fine comeback for him. Including 3 originals as well as remixes by Irving Force, Hijack Da Bass and Alminia “Return” was out on JST Records on June 20th. Moving somewhere between Electro House, Complextro and Synthwave/Outrun, the 3 originals strike the right balance between heavy basslines and melodic parts (more on the melancholic and dark side rather than on the EDM though) while each of the 3 remixes adds something new to the release. Irving Force‘s rocker definitely focuses more on the 80’s side of things and pushes the original to its limits (just like an 80’s “action packed” movie would), Hijack Da Bass delivers an Electro House hard hitter you’d expect from him while finally the newcomer Alminia adds some flavor and closes the release in afunkier and lighter tone. More new music coming and it’s time to go underground with this remixes EP for I Think I Broke Something‘s “Face Lift”. If you’re familiar with the Finland based live duo then you must probably already be aware of their pretty different, unique and fresh style and sound which borders Indie Dance, Electronica, Punk and good ol’ hard Electro. And whether you like their music or not, which is pretty characteristic no doubt, you have to admit it has to be somewhat hard to remix. The good news is that Father, Laforcah and Hijack Da Bass who were the three artists chosen to remix the tracks from ITIBS‘ latest EP were up to the challenge and they most definitely delivered. A heavy and dark trash Electro/Techno remix of “To Hell” by the London based duo, rude Electro Punk by Italy’s loudest duo and trademark sounding energy filled Electro House by Hijack Da Bass was the outcome. If that sounds like the Electronic music you enjoy then you better check “Face Lift Remixed” out. Continue reading »

Hello-o and after a silent period we’re back in full action and ready to make some noise, with some of our favorite artists and sounds. Quite a bit of catching up to do as well since this is our first post of 2015, meaning there are still a few 2014 releases to blogged about since it’s never too late to blog about good music. So, let’s get on it and for starters here’s Beatbender‘s latest single “Elevate”, which was out on Jet Set Trash a month ago, including remixes by Hijack Da Bass and Noblesse. “Elevate” is the second single from Beatbender‘s upcoming LP and another dark, yet fresh, different and elevating track. As for the remixes, Hijack Da Bass gives the original the trademark hard Electro sound we have come to know and love by HDB, whereas Noblesse adds his very own personal touch to the release with an 8 minute long Electro-Techno remix. Definitely a single which especially being the follow up release of Beatbender‘s “Anti Optimism” leaves us vert curious about what the duo’s debut full album will sound like as judging by what we’ve heard so far there won’t be any shortage of moodswings, variety and freshness while at the same time maintaining a dark atmosphere throughout the LP. But let’s wait to hear to more tracks/previews from the full LP before making any further assumptions. Until then, check this one out!

Continuing in the same mood and spirit and next we have a first taste and preview of Beatbender‘s upcoming single “Elevate” which was made public yesterday with this video teaser. Fresh and different, “Elevate” is the 2nd single from Beatbender’s upcoming LP, due for release in winter 2015. After the dark and heavy “Anti Optimism”, the duo’s new single is an elevating track and great example of the thrills and twists the Portuguese duo has in store for us with their debut forthcoming album. The “Elevate” single will be out on Jet Set Trash on December 19 including 2 remixes by Hijack Da Bass who gives the original the trademark HDB hard Electro sound as well as Noblesse who add their own touch to the release with an 8 minute long Electro-Techno remix. Nice and dark looking imagery as well in this video, which only leaves us wanting more and looking forward to both the release of the single/LP as well as the release of the full official music video of “Elevate”, which according to the label’s Facebook page will be made public with the release of “Elevate” LP. So, check this teaser out to get an idea and stay tuned because it seems like there’s plenty coming by Beatbender in the months to follow.

Hell-o all and after an extended silence from our side here’s a pretty quick and evil comeback and a multi-purpose post in a sense since we have a killer new track and release and an official video for it, all in one. Hijack Da Bass shouldn’t really need any inrtoduction to those of you following the blog and hard Electro scene in general. With 3 official EPs under their belt and countless remixes for Zardonic, Lock N Bounce, Laforcah and Vegamoore (just to mention a few) the duo from Portugal has been delivering their highly energised Electro for a while and now they are back with a new EP. Out on JST Records last week, their EP titels “Demon Club” comes with 2 originals as well as 3 remixes by Imagin8, The Silent H and Bombastard who all added their personal touch to the 2 originals. As for the originals, Hijack Da Bass are taking their sound to the next level while at the same time keeping their very characteristic trademark sound. And in cas that’s not enough “Demon Club” comes with an official video too. Dark, demonic (obviously) and cool, the video was done to pay homage to horror themes the duo has always enjoyed and as an effort to explore the psychology of horror. So, enough words, time to let the audio and visual work of Hijack Da Bass speak for itself so check out the video below and of course “Demon Club” EP here.
