When talking about great new releases it would be a sin not to spend some time talking about Dizkodeath‘s debut album “Raw”. Out on Jet Set Trash, “Raw” is definitely a long awaited and anticipated LP and it was worth the wait by all means! The German artist had been already leaving very good impressions and therefore had our support on this blog since the very early days and his “Fear” Free EP (which was a Metalectro Exclusive Free EP) but he has certainly grown a lot since then in every way an artist should. Since then he has evolved his style into a hard Electro – Indie Dance kind of mix, influenced heavily by Justice and the hard French Electro scene with a Punk Rock edge and attitude and a Disco groove (see “Over” feat. Dana Jean Phoenix). His 4 lead singles “Revolver”, “Wizard”, “Vendetta” and “Orchid” released over the last 12 months with some big remixes definitely attracted quite a bit of attention on the up & coming and super talented artist and he in his turn didn’t fail to deliver and keep impressing with his LP. “Raw” includes 8 new and previously unheard original tracks and really there is not one boring second throughout the whole album. Definitely an LP that packs a lot of inspiration, as well as raw power and style, especially in an era that the Electronic music world is plagued by a soulless cookie cutter ‘sample library’ mentality that leaves a little to no room for creativity. Dizkodeath just doesn’t care to follow any of that mentality and that’s another plus for the artist to be added on top of the already huge “Raw” LP. Simply put, all fans of hard electronic music should listen to this album!

How about some mid-week bangers? Well, we like our bangers all days and hours really so that was a rhetorical question and today we have a couple ones you shouldn’t miss no matter what. For starters, how about a new original by by our favorite robo-metal-monster that goes by the name Zardonic? Veneuela’s finest and heaviest has a new EP coming out on December 9 and the self-titled track from “For Justice” EP was just made available publicly today, meaning we had to pick our keyboards up and make sure to deliver you some guitar fueled electronic madness by one of Metalectro’s finest. The metal influences are  obviously there as is often the case with Zardonic but this time he left his Drum N Bass roots behind as the track moves in a more Electro direction and tempo. Venezuelan guitar virtuoso Tadeo Díaz has also contributed in “For Justice” by adding some lead guitar and it’s safe to say that judging by the first taste we had from the upcoming EP then Zardonic‘s “For Justice” EP is definitely a release to look forward to. Check out the track, pre-order the EP here if you like and stay tuned for more Zardonic soon!

Speaking about good sounding track here’s a new original by Autopunk featuring Mak Others on vocals that will take you a few years back to the good hard Electro days and the big bass sexy sounding collaborations of Haezer with Circe. At least that’s what came to mind when listening to this Autopunk & Mak Others track which definitely encapsulates all those great things we got to love during the golden hard Electro days and pushes even further by adding a much more polished yet powerful and contemporary sound. Boost, energy and groove are three of the things you can expect in “We Own The Night” and a great combination of heavy but not over-distorted pumping bassline which matches perfectly the great vocals by Mak Others. Definitely one of the best works we have heard from Autopunk up to date and a also a great introduction of Mak Others too and a track which leaves us hungry for more. We will be keeping our Metalectro eye on these two and hope to listen to more like this, whether on another collaboration or in individual projects. In the meawhile enjoy this very nice track!

Hell-o all and as you might have noticed it’s been getting harder and harder to keep the good music flowing endlessly through the blog lately, due to multiple reasons really but mostly due to time limitations. Well, to be honest the good music that we really feel deserves to be heard is also getting less and less and harder to come by which definitely doesn’t help but we won’t get into that for now and try to stay focused on those few good releases and track that have been echoing througout the Metalectroland lately. And one of those releases comes by Finnish duo I Think I Broke Something who recently had their debut single “Superman Sabotage Clan” release on Jet Set Trash. Fresh, unique, unbelievably talented and super-stylish, I Think I Broke Something mix together influences that vary from music genres and sounds as diverse as Indie, Pop, Punk Rock, Electroclash and Electro Trash. All that with some crazy vocally dominated Breaks to top it all of. With them, Hanuman Tribe, CrazyMT and Dizkodeath who delivered 3 killer remixes. A hybrid Dubstep-Indie remix by Hanuman Tribe, a pure old school Electroclash remix by CrazyMT and some raw Electro Punk from the master of the kind Dizkodeath make I Think I Broke Something‘s debut single an impressive release no doubt so check out the preview below by all means and keep an eye/ear on these guys for more!

10592686_10153241549264676_9093653806640494619_nFor those of you keeping an eye on our YouTube channel you will probably know of (and if not you should) the Designer Drugs latest release, which is no other than the Remixes LP for “The Drugs Are In Control”. The Remixes LP was released on Sex Cult in 2 parts, part one being a remix EP featuring 9 remixes of the track by the likes of F.O.O.L, Robopunx, Kyro, Q.G., LeathRface, Rob De Large, DJ Antention and more. The 2nd part, came a week ago and as if the hard Electro (and not only) parade of names on part 1 wasn’t enough, Mustard Pimp, Tom Deluxx, Corvad and more artists came to be added among the already impressive line up of remixers. Definitely lots of good remixes to be checked out of the 15 altogether features on both parts with some of course being more to our liking than the rest. So, here’s our selection of “drugs” and we strongly suggest you try them all out!
