Picking up the intensity as we go on with the second post of the day and here’s another new release coming by USA based Algo. Out on Downlink‘s imprint Uplink Audio yesterday, Algo‘s “Goon” EP comes with four Dubstep original tracks, with the opening track “Spaceboots Pt.2” being a collaboration with The Greys. Dark, heavy and “in your face” Dubstep with all four tracks following a bass filled path of speaker and eardrum destruction, just the way we like them. And if that sounds like the sort of Dubstep you enjoy then there is no doubt you’re going to enjoy Algo‘s “Goon” EP too, so make sure to check it out and let the whole neighbourhood know about it. Hell-o and greetings to all Electronic music saints and sinners out there. Mid week blogging session about to commence right now on Metalectro and we have some fresh music coming your way today, rich in big bad dirty bass and sounds (as usual). And what better way to start the day than this new collaboration original between Apashe and Lektrique? Out yesterday on Kannibalen Records, “Confess” finds the two artists joining forces to come up with an Electro House single which combines in a very well balanced way elements of both their personal sound and style, while staying close to the “kannibal nature” and sound we’re used to hearing from the Canadian label’s artists and releases. Plenty of room for forgiveness here even if you don’t like “Confess”, which we seriously doubt is going to happen anyway, so just hit play and check it out! Continue reading »
Going on with another new release by Russian hardcore rave duo Un4Get, out just yesterday on Jet Set Trash. “Shut Up!” is the title of Un4Get‘s second EP release, which includes 4 original tracks which is pretty hard to squeeze into any sub-gengres really. Dark, heavy and loud, “Shut Up!” EP brings together different sounds and mixes eveything from Electro Trash to Trap and Nuro to Breaks, all with enough bass to bring your roof down. Definitely not an easy listening or club friendly release by any means but then again if you’re looking for some heavy Electronic music that embraces the freedom of being “underground” and ignoring the Beatport charts (or any charts for that matter) then Un4Get‘s new EP is definitely for you. Starting the day with some hard hitting Electro sounds and UK based Resistance‘s latest EP, which was released on Play Me Records about a month ago. The EP is titled “More Power” and moves in the Electro House/Dubstep directions. Three original tracks, two Electro and one Dubstep (plus a free bonus track inlcuded in the Soundcloud set), all packing quite a bit of energy and power which is what someone would normally expect by a release titled “More Power” anyway so no disappointent there. Nice and tight production by Resistance and overall one more nice release by Play Me which all those of you fans of the label’s sound and style should undoubtedly enjoy so hit play and check it out! Another bass music giant (warrior) who had a new release out last week is Feed Me, whose new EP “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo” hit the stores a week ago via his Sotto Voce Records imprint. 4 new tracks, all moving in the Electro House direction and as is often the case with Feed Me, finding clever ways to stay fresh by incorporating new sounds and ideas in the somewhat ‘expected’ formulas you hear on most high charting Electro House tracks and releases. Not that Feed Me‘s “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo” EP is really straying away from the more mainstream and club friendly Electro House sounds but having said that, it’s hard not to appreciate the overall quality of Feed Me‘s new EP. Definitely not the hardest, heaviest or darkest release you’re gonna hear out there but then again we seriously doubt that was ever the goal with “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo”, which is simply a fun to listen to release with very high production (and not only) standards. So here it is, what you do with it is entirely up to you. Continue reading »
