Preview: Misanthrop “I Need More” EP

Hell-o to all bassheads and we’re back bringing you some dark, heavy, nasty and lovely bass – just the way we love it here on Metalectro and what better way to get things started than a preview of the new Misanthrop (aka Neosignal) EP “I Need More”? The EP will be out on Blackout Music NL (Black Sun Empire‘s imprint) on April 19th. Fortunatelly for all of us a couple of full tracks from it have already been made publicly available for streaming on the artist and label Soundcloud pages and it’s fair to say that both sound killer and definitely leave us wanting and needing more. Review: Phace “Shape The Random” LP

Going on with some nice Drum N Bass coming from Phace with the German producer’s new LP, released on Neosignal Recordings a bit over a couple of weeks ago. 14 original tracks moving to the Drum N Bass direction and if you’re fans of the particular sound and style then you’re definitely going to enjoy this one. Some darker, some weirder and some more straight forward, all tracks stay loyal pretty much to the heavier Drum N Bass we’ve come to know and like by Phace and even though at parts we felt the album could have done with a couple of tracks that would add a bit more diversity and variety by straying a bit off of the Drum N Bass sound, we have to say that “Shape The Random” is an album we enjoyed quite a bit and we hope you will too. Review: F.O.O.L – Knight

April started off in a great way in terms of new music and for those of you not aware of it yet F.O.O.L‘s new EP titled “Knight”, out on Monstercat April 20th, is already available for pre-sale and you can now also stream the opening and EP same-titled track. “Knight” EP, which will include 4 original tracks is definitely one to look forward to, as is usually the case with the Swedish artist and we definitely have been looking forward to it since the first teasers made their appearence on the artist’s social media. And the opening track comes to confirm that this will be one more classic F.O.O.L piece of Electro greatness, with all those trademark and characteristic parts, sounds and melodies we are used to listen from F.O.O.L over tha last few years. March has been one of those months that have been very kind to us with too many great tracks and releases coming by a great deal of artists/labels and since posting them all one by one would seem almost impossible we have decided to pick some of our favorite bass monsters released during the month in a 5 track selection that will melt your face with the massive drops and huge badass sound it includes. So fasten your seatbelts and lets get nasty, starting with Downlink & Twofold‘s collaboration original titled “Darkside”, out on Uplink Audio a couple of weeks ago. Review: BAR9 & PhaseOne – Why They Need Us

It’s been almost one month already since the release of BAR9 & Phase One‘s collaboration single “Why They Need Us” on Firepower Records and actually it’s been a while since we had any post from either artist or label here so lets do something about that right now. For those of you who are into both melodic and hard hitting Dubstep but somehow and for whatever reason haven’t checked out “Why They Need Us” yet please stop whatever you’re doing for five minutes because you really need to check it out. The UK and Australlian based artists came together to deliver a tune which not only fits perfectly well with what we’re accustomed to hearing from Firepower Records and the specific artists but should also leave all fans and those familiar with the artists sound and style happy and satisfied to the max.
