Weekend Bass 02Another weekend is almost here and boy are we glad this strange, busy and uneasy (for a number of reasons) week is over? So, even though blogging some music during the week turned out to be harder than we would have liked, it feels quite appropriate to celebrate the arrival of the weekend with some tracks that have been patiently and quietly sitting in our “to blog” list. So here comes another weekend track selection and a 5 track playlist, including 5 badass and full of bass tracks that helped us make it through the week and we know will definitely help set the mood for the weekend too. So, check out these new beasts by The Glitch Mob, Downlink & Axonic (feat. Terravita), KJ Sawka, Modestep & Genetix and Must Die!, play them loud and have a great weekend y’all! Continue reading »

Time to wrap things up and close the day and week but since it’s Friday that’s not too bad as we can all get on party mode and start the weekend a few hours early! But before i let you all slip into those party shoes i better prepare you and get the blood within your veins pumping or even boiling with this pretty damn nice and Metalectric remix! My 2nd pick for the “remix of the day” (after the unofficial 1st one of the last post) and a new track by Must Die, out on Firepower Records 10 days ago. This remix is taken from the Carvar & Clock “Miskatonik” EP featuring 2 original tracks plus one more remix by Joe Ford. Definitely the highlight of what is a nice release but nothing special according to my eardrums and taste at least. This remix by Must Die though definitely stands out, pushes the pedal to the metal with it’s guitar fuelled sound and its almost proggressive metal Dream Theateresque structure and ispiration! Big ups to Must Die, check this by all means and have a great evening and weekend!

Leaving the trashy and aggressive sound and style behind next and it’s time to go on with another new release, brand new actually since this one was just out today on Audiophille Live. Sawgood really needs no introductions to those fans of the whole electro-step sound, since he’s been around for a while and has been producing some pretty nice bass tracks, from complextro and electro house to drumstep and even some pretty nasty and heavy trashy ones. Of course the French producer lately has been taking the dub/drumstep route too and i personally can’t balem him since the sound and style seems to suit him pretty well and his new EP “Toxic Flames” is no exception. Featuring 2 originals plus 2 remixes by Eliminate and Must Die“Toxic Flames” is a nice, well produced EP that’s definitely worth checking out but also feels a bit like just another nice sounding dub/drumstep EP.
