Hell-o all and while we are having to deal with the non-musical and very unpleasant issue of the bad unofficial Metaletctro copycat pages that have been in existence for a while without us being aware of it, lets try to get back into normal “healthy” musical matters too. So, for those of you missed the live 2 hour long Q&A and open discussion we held on our Facebook Page on Sunday night with CrazyMT, here it is in the form of a mini-interview as well. So read on and see what this very talented artist from France had to say about his debut EP “Right Way” and music!
Going on with a new release and this is as fresh as it gets really as not only it was released a few hours ago but is also sounding pretty fresh! Exhorth might seem like the new kid on the blog and technically he is fresh blood but you might have heard some of his previous work as Divine-X. Divine-X is no longer though and one half of them goes on as Exhorth now and keeps delivering the goods. With tracks out on SectionZ and Play Me Too already, the Brasilian has now found his new home on Jet Set Trash and is launching his bassline attack with the single “Like This”. 1 fresh, very inspired and maximal sounding original with a lot of power, great big sound and plenty of style plus 3 remixes by Mr Batou, Drop Goblin and Knooper. A lot to like on this one really which covers almost all EDM spectrums and styles. Great depth and variety, with all 4 tracks adding to the release as a whole as well as being very nice to listen to on their own. So here’s a preview of Exhorth‘s “Like This” and it’s definitely one to like!
Hell-o and a great Halloween weekend to all! As some of you might have known we had some special Halloween plans announced yesterday as Jet Set Trash were kind and evil enough to ask us to present their Halloween Weekend track selection through our page and blog, something that of course we were very happy to agree with! So, here are 10 of the label’s most dark and evil sounding tracks, released officially on Jet Set Trash and now available as a Halloween Weekend 48 hour limited freebie. Great stuff from the quickly growing London (UK) based label who never stops surprising us. So, if you who want to bang electro style this Halloween, here’s the “We Have Evil” Halloween Weekend Freebie track selection by Jet Set Trash, so check these bangers out, grab them for free while you can and have a spooky weekend!
We will leave the dark filthy stuff with the 2nd post and go on with a new release that it’s quite the opposite of dark, spooky or filthy. This doens’t mean it’s not a great release though. CrazyMT had his debut EP out on Jet Set Trash a week ago and it’s fair to say that French artist really proved with his EP “Right Way” that not only he has a great talent for writting music that has a character and very strong identitly but that he doesn’t care or follow trends as well. Inspired, bright, full of great melodies, catchy vocals and a positive mood, the 3 originals have all the elements to become instant classic melodic Electro House tracks. As for the remixes, Geometry, French Stereo and Linoleum have boosted the 3 originals by adding their personal touch while maintaining the nice melodic electro house sound and feel. A very nice EP overall and a debut that left us wanting more from CrazyMT. Check it out!
Time to wrap things up and let the weekend start but before we do i have saved a Metalecto Special and a double “remix of the day” post for the end. And when i say special this one is special by all means, since not only both remixes are some of the most Metalectric material we have heard in a while but also pit one known big name against a young up & comer who has certainly got a lot more to give with his music. So, Zardonic vs iMAGiN8, since they both remixed each other’s tracks on their EPs out on Jet Set Trash this month and what a combination of styles and results this working relationship has produced so far really! The story goes something like this, iMAGiN8 remixed Zardonic‘s “Restless Slumber” for the “Restless Remixes” EP that was released on early October and really the 18yo producer took everyone by surprise as his remix was a devastating guitar fueled Metalstep banger of the highest standard and quality!
