Here comes my first freebie of the day and a Free EP by Hijack Da Bass that was made available a few days ago through Electro Trash. Featuring 2 new originals, “Colossus” EP is certainly a classic fat Hijack Da Bass release, featuring all those trademark and characteristic elements the Portuguese duo has been giving us the last couple of years. Hard hitting complextro influences with a hard electro house and even trashy or dubstep edge to it at times, Hijack Da Bass have been certainly showing ready to take things to the next level with their most recent work and personally i am really looking forward to their next official EP release, as all signs seem to be leading to the conclusion that it is going to be a pretty big release. Until then though lets stick to the facts rather than speculate things that might not come to be and the fact is that “Colossus” Free EP is here, so check and grab it!

It’s time to wrap things up for today but before we do you’ll be pleased to know that we have joined forces with Jet Set Trash and Zardonic to present you the loudest, baddest and most banging remix contest around these day, the Zardonic “Restless Remixes” Contest! The bass metal monstermind Zardonic will have his “Restless Remixes” EP released on Jet Set Trash (September 16th) and alongside a new version of “Restless Slumber”, Lock N Bounce, Hijack Da Bass and Gör FLsh will also be joining the “restless army” and adding their own interpretations of “Restless Slumber” on the EP! 1 winner from the contest, selected by the judges who are no other than Jet Set Trash, Zardonic himself and of course the Metalectro duo Zak Electrohead Kilmister and Hannakiri Hellectro will also be featured on the “Restless Slumber” EP, while the 2 runner up remixes will be given as a Free EP through Metalectro and willl be promoted through the blog, Jet Set Trash and Zardonic himslef! Hell-o all and let’s get ready for your mid-week Metalectro session, brning you some of the coolest, loudest and most ebergetic bass music! Getting started today i have a new release coming on, although since it’s 16 track compilation i decided to get a bit selective and only post a few of my favorite and the best imo tracks out of it. “We Are THaF Three” was out on THaF Records on July 1st and it featured track quite a few familiar names those of you who frequent Metalectro. To be honest i wasn’t impressed by the release as a whole as despite all tracks sounding pretty good most of them are a bit on the techno side and it’s no secrtet i am not the biggest fan of the sound. Still, i managed to pick a few tracks that stood out from the rest imo by Goombotic, Andrea Valenti, The Clown,Jackiroqs and Hijack Da Bass and so here they are for you to check out and get a taste of “We Are THaF Three”!

Hell-o all and i hope you had a great weekend! Monday again and the inevitable start of the working week is upon us, which means the Metalectro crew is back on duty as well and ready to fire some megatons of bass upon you all, just to help make the day and week better. So, let’s get started and lets get bass-ing with a brand new release by Moda and Shax Trax, out just a few hours ago. “Scary Keeper” is the title of the EP and it features 1 original plus remixes by RYKR, Hijack Da Bass, Macrowave and Silent H!. Overall a nice release, with Moda putting on display once again those nice lively sounding synths as well as the nice groove he’s shown is capable of in his previous tracks. Nice work on the remixes too, with Silent H! definitely winning the eardum satisfaction battle imo, so overall a tasty EP to start with. Check it out!

Next i have this pretty good and thereby promising sounding preview of the upcoming EP by Moda named “Scary Keeper” for you! Featuring four remixes by familiar and hence Metalectro approved names such as Hijack Da Bass, Silent H!, Macrowave and RYKR alongside the same-titled original “Scary Keeper”, this EP is supposed to be released on Shax Trax the 24th of June and judging by its teaser most likely something to look forward to. The combination of all remixes bringing out their main points while keeping the typical and marked style of each remixer with the simple, but melodic and pleasantly hard “trash-rave” original by Moda left a good impression in my ears and i bet you´ll like it too – so check the teaser out!!!
