Keeping things bagning for the now and following in the same spirit of the previous posts and here’s another preview of one more pretty nice sounding upcoming EP. Rubber Spanner is back with his 3rd EP on Jet Set Trash and this time the London (UK) based artist and Jet Set Trash label boss decided to mix things up by delivering some of those catchy and melodic electro house tracks he showcased in his last EP “Shit Happens” while at the same time returning to his metal and punk roots and picking up his guitar for the tracks “Drop LIke Flies” (the EP title track) and “Overdrive” (Trashed Again) which is an obvious title and musical reference to his “Get Trashed” track released a couple of years ago. Both great sounding vocal driven, guitar fueled tracks and something you might even describe as punkstep in the case of “Drop Like Flies”. Some pretty nice remixes too on the EP with Heavygrinder, Laforcah and Gor FLsh delivering some first class bangers as well as Soul Machine who contributed a techno-electro-rock rework of the track “Satanic Synths From Outer Space”, a groovy techno orginal and closing track of the EP. Overall geat variety and number of tracks (9 in total) and a release that is banging, melodic and fresh! Check out the teaser and stay tuned for the EP, out tomorrow!

Time for my remix of the day and yet another recently released track that is also fresh blood for Metalectro since it brings on the blog a name that is mentioned here for the first time. Obviously that name isn’t Heavygrinder neither Antichrist though as both of these artists have been blogged here a few times already and every Metalectrohead should be familiar with. Leo Pigot on the other hand is an artist that is debuting today on Metalectro and what could be a better debut for him than the “remix of the day”? His remix of the Heavygrinder & Antichrist collaboration “Children Of The Night” that was released on Bug Eyed a bit longer than 1 month ago is a nice dark and heavy dubstep track that deserves the post here by all means imo. A track that brings back Metalectro Vol.03 “Hellbound” memories too and Dies Irae‘s “Children Of The Night” (with aUtOdiDaKt & La Musique D’Ordinateur) but other than that is certainly a great track and worthy of a post here by all means, so check this one out!

Hell-o all and i hope you had a great weekend! New week and a new month ahead and my first session and post of the summer 2013, so let’s try to give this one a special character with a toast for a great summer in terms of music and not only! And looking for my opnening post for today, i think this new EP by The S on Social Security Records is a very suitable one. Titled “Beer Bash” the EP features 2 originals, one being a collaboration with Heavygrinder. Quite different sounding than the usual sound we all knew and loved by The S and it seems that the changes that occured in the duo’s line up have had their influence. Not saying that “Beer Bash” EP isn’t a nice release so dont’ get me wrong, it’s a pretty nice one, although you might be disappointed if you expected The S making a comeback with their classic style and sound as this one has an obvious techno feel and touch to it. Still check it out by all means though and see what you think for yourselves!

Last post for today already and splitting up the posts really made this Metalectro session feel quick and short but certainly not lacking the bass or the power and energy. So, just before we wrap things up and wish you all a great evening, here’s one more post and let’s stay true to the old undying habit of leaving the “remix of the day” pick for last. And today’s pick is by an artist who not only has been coming up with some pretty great and Metalectric remixes of some big Metal favorites but is also a big supporter of this blog and the Metalectro idea & sound! So boys & girls, here’s Heavygrinder‘s latest refix, this time on A Perfecd Circle’s “Judith” and yet another freebie for you to grab! So, hit the play button, turn the volume way up, grab this goodie and have a great evening wherever you are!

Here’s another new release and i’ll be leaving the single tracks behind for now, as the Lock N Bounce debut EP “Getting Wet” has 9 great tracks i could post as singles. Out two days ago on Jet Set Trash“Getting Wet” EP moves between Dub/Drumstep, Electro House and Drum & Bass and admittedly is a huge release. The 5 originals are great, combining melodies, vocal hooks, monster wobs and big beats, while the 4 remixes by Virtual Riot, Phrenik, Heavygrinder and Hijack Da Bass are all adding to the EP an extra quality and variety in style that takes the release as a whole to a next level. Massive productions that can stand among the biggest names in the scene and undoubtedly the Greek trio Lock N Bounce is a name to look out for! Just check this out!
