Hello-o and after a silent period we’re back in full action and ready to make some noise, with some of our favorite artists and sounds. Quite a bit of catching up to do as well since this is our first post of 2015, meaning there are still a few 2014 releases to blogged about since it’s never too late to blog about good music. So, let’s get on it and for starters here’s Beatbender‘s latest single “Elevate”, which was out on Jet Set Trash a month ago, including remixes by Hijack Da Bass and Noblesse. “Elevate” is the second single from Beatbender‘s upcoming LP and another dark, yet fresh, different and elevating track. As for the remixes, Hijack Da Bass gives the original the trademark hard Electro sound we have come to know and love by HDB, whereas Noblesse adds his very own personal touch to the release with an 8 minute long Electro-Techno remix. Definitely a single which especially being the follow up release of Beatbender‘s “Anti Optimism” leaves us vert curious about what the duo’s debut full album will sound like as judging by what we’ve heard so far there won’t be any shortage of moodswings, variety and freshness while at the same time maintaining a dark atmosphere throughout the LP. But let’s wait to hear to more tracks/previews from the full LP before making any further assumptions. Until then, check this one out!
Hell-o to all bassheads out there and after putting ourselves together after the weekend it’s time to catch up with what’s new and heavy in hevy bass electronic music scene and we have plenty coming today so strap in and stay tuned. And in case you don’t believe us, we have a grand opening post as well with Neosignal who just had a new EP out on Noisia’s imprint Division Recordings and we think even putting all those names in the same sentence should be more than enough to convince you “Space Gsus” EP is as huge as one expects a Neosignal release to be. 7 original tracks, rich in bass, top production and a dark groovy and deep atmosphere which there is no way you won’t be sucked right into. Definitely a release to check from the first to last second and we know this preview is going to leave you wanting more!
Staying on the dark side and here comes some more fresh blood too and the second newcomer of the day on Metalectro, who goes by the name Perturbator. To borrow Perturbator‘s autobigraphical info from his Soundcloud profile, “the legend says he’s half human, half synthesizer”. Well, we can’t confirm neither doubt the legends and folklore surrounding Perturbator but let us tell you that first we like the idea of this legend being true a lot and second we don’t care because we like his music. A mix of 80’s dark electro and synthwave, darksynth as Perturbator himself likes to call it and all those of you who are fans of the style are going to love his work. So, here’s his latest original titled “She Moves Like A Knife” and it’s time to let the synths ( or half synth-half human actually) to do the talking, so press play and enjoy!
