Time to wrap things up and here comes today’s pick for the “remix of the day” which makes up for a nice contradiction as well since it brings together one of our least favorite artists, Steve Aoki and a name we love, Dirtyphonics. And why we love Dirtyphonics you might be wondering, in which case this remix serves as a great example, since the Frenchmen have taken a track that has nothing we could have possibly liked by Metalectro standards and transformed it into a powerful, bouncy remix. And if this trasformation and overall huge improvement in addition to the great production you can expect by Dirtyphonics isn’t enough to grant this the “remix of the day” title, then i don’t know what is. Time to call it a day and it’s been another fun and loud day here on Metalectro, so let’s make sure we close it in an equally loud manner and with an equal nice banging “remix of the day”. And if there’s one artist who has been constantly coming up with some pretty big banging official remixes, he certainly has to be Gigi Barocco. This time the Italian producer remixes Steve Aoki, who i really think if it wasn’t for the few great banging remixes done by other artists on some of his tracks he wouldn’t have had any place here on his own right. Anyway, the fact remains that the remixes were done and this particular one on the track “Ooh” is another classic Gigi Barocco style banger. Defintely the only track standing out from the “Ooh” Remixes EP imo, so give it a listen and have a nice evening!

Coming to an end already and since i´m a creature of habit it´s pretty predictable or easy to guess what´s coming last, hence no big surprises here really since i´ll close blogging with my pick for the remix of the day of course! My previous post already put me into a good mood for the melodic sections of banging electro, thus i chose another uplifting and bouncy tune at last to blast you into the weekend and raise the party spirits adequately for a long and hopefully banging night! And so it happens that Gigi Barocco snatches another ROTD, this time remixing the track “Ooh” feat. Rob Roy by Steve Aoki which has been released few days ago on the same-titled remixes EP on Ultra Records alongside remixes by Mustard Pimp, Deorro, Lazerdisk Party Sex and Dzeko & Torres! And here´s yet the second new release of today´s blogging, also been launched two days ago but in contrast to my previous post way longer, 10 tracks lenght strictly speaking and without any remix featured on a true long player! It´s the latest release by Dirtyphonics named “Irreverence” LP, out on Dim Mak Records and featuring some tracks that have already been blogged here in the course of the according EPs (plus remixes), but also many more, even including four collabs with Steve Aoki, Modestep, Foreign Beggars and Liela Moss. A throughout decent and consistent LP by the French electronic dance music quartet and a must hear imo, so make sure to check all the tracks out!!!
