Hell-o and a great week to all. The weekend might unfortunatelly be over but then again it always helps when having some good new music to listen and write about at the beginning of the new week, which certainly seems to be the case today with Habstrakt. His “Cool Cats Never Die” Pt.I EP was out today on Never Say Die and well, to make it as clear as we possibly can, this is some really great Dubstep. The EP includes two original tracks titled “Hello” and “Habby9000”, with both sounding equally great in terms of production, sound design and overall feel and flow. Powerful and bassed up enough to shake the earth beneath your feet, this is some of the finest Dubstep we’ve heard lately and definitely one we would recommend you to check out. Continue reading »

Just a few days ago the So French Records “Winter Time” Vol.02 Compilation was released by French label, including 14 original tracks altogether. A mix of Nu Disco, Electro Rock and well, French Touch with some artists we’ve known and liked for a while now, as well as some new ones. Listening to the whole release a few times and trying to make up our minds about it, we can definitely say that there are some very good tracks on it, which we have picked to feature here today. One of the things we didn’t like as much is the abundance of Nu Disco and “funky”tracks, which seemed to take over the overall release more than we would have personally liked as it seems to have left less room for more power and energy which we thought is missing a bit from the particular compilation. The good thing though is that the few tracks that are moving to a “harder” direction out of “Winter Time” Vol.02 really stood out as they made a significance difference to the release’s overall feel and flow. Going on in the same spirit, style and sound as our opening post but this time with an upcoming single from the first time blogged on Metalectro Mr. Electronicvein, so here’s some “fresh blood” too. Mr. Electronicvein is a Germany based artist who mostly produces House tracks, although he decided to pick up the intensity and bass levels in his new single “Ghettoblaster”, which is due for release on Audiotonique on the 2nd of March. Don’t expect any hard thrashing Electro banger but rather an Electro House track with a nice flow and energy. Definitely some of the best work we heard by Mr. Electronicvein so far (according to our taste and eardrums at least) which leaves wondering whether the German producer will keep producing more tracks like this in the future. But for the time being, here’s “Ghettoblaster”. Check it out! Continue reading »
