It’s wasn’t very long ago when Liam Howlett said in an interview that The Prodigy new album will wipe the floor with dance DJs and as we’re getting closer to the official release date of “The Day Is My Enemy” (March 30th) and more tracks are becoming available to listen to the more we actually begin to understand and believe that statement to be true. Just a few days ago another original track from “The Day Is My Enemy” made its appearence on YouTube, titled “Wall Of Death” and well, lets just say that this is some kickass, rude and violent Electronic music with bad attitude, the sort we love here and have definitely been missing the last few years from the bigger “hard” Electronic music acts. And as if that wasn’t enough, the KillSonik remix of “Wild Frontier”, which was apparently co-written by KillSonik and The Prodigy has also made it’s public debut bringing back officially the UK based duo, who is hopefully are going to stay productive and more music will follow from them soon. For those of you who checked out or even better enjoyed Against Humanity‘s “New World Order” EP which was released on THU Records last December, you will be definitely glad to know that the “New World Order” Remixes EP is finally available for streaming, including 5 remixes by Troublegum, Brawler, WiseLabs (ex-FetOo), Synapse (ex-Monkey Freakz) and Arkasia. All pretty much artists that those of you following this space for a longer time should be familiar with and recognise despite the new artist names. A remixes EP which, just like the original release did too, follows a mix of hard/trashy Electro sound with elements of Dubstep/Drumstep. A recipe that has definitely worked out well for the French/Egyptian duo in the past no doubt and definitely seems to be working for this “Remixes” EP too, although while listening throughout the EP as a whole at points we felt like quality and overall release dynamics/flow were sacrificed on the altar of fitting more remixes and artists on the same release. Still a nice EP though with Troublegum, Brawler and Synapse being our favorite remixes. Check it out! Continue reading »

The French Electronic colourful lawbreaking trio that goes by the name Le Catcheur, La Pute & Le Dealer is back with a new track and as they usually do, they once again graced us with a new music video too. Following their “Smell My Fingers” and “Death Race” singles and videos, “Guess Who’s Back” is the third official release by the trio. Elisa Do Brasil is also joining their ranks for this new single, which was made available yesterday as a free download. Don’t expect any high speed car chases and the trio breaking any laws like we are used to see them do often in their past videos but a video that follows in their footsteps of their debut “Smell My Fingers”, based on a nice Ballet-Dubstep/Drum N Bass choreography. Definitely one to check out so enjoy the video for some serious moves! Continue reading »
Hell-o all and we’re getting the day started in terms of blogging and in general with a new release that’s packing some serious bass and firepower, coming by two artists that haven’t been featured on Metalectro before so, here’s some tasty fresh blood too to go along your milk and cookies or any personal breakfast preferences. Regardless of breakfast preferences though and as long as you like being hit hard by lots of bass in the face there is no doubt you’re going to enjoy Igor Graphite‘s and Ekzoid‘s collaboration EP “Spaceport”, out on Heavy Artillery Recordings yesterday. Two Dubstep/Drumstep originals (don’t let the 4 track set below fool you), one of them featuring BBK on vocals and if you like the idea of robots marching to war (against dinosaurs maybe?) then this one will feel like a post-apocalyptic robot war nuclear heaven to your ears. Check it out! Continue reading »
