Review: Algo “Goon” EP

Picking up the intensity as we go on with the second post of the day and here’s another new release coming by USA based Algo. Out on Downlink‘s imprint Uplink Audio yesterday, Algo‘s “Goon” EP comes with four Dubstep original tracks, with the opening track “Spaceboots Pt.2” being a collaboration with The Greys. Dark, heavy and “in your face” Dubstep with all four tracks following a bass filled path of speaker and eardrum destruction, just the way we like them. Hell-o and a great week to all! Monday again and this means we’re back in business (or actually “bassines” if you prefer) and as proven multiple times before already there is no better remedy for the weekend hangovers than some fresh bass and we have quite a bit of it coming today so fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off! And to get things rolling we have some “fresh blood” coming with the signature of Uplink Audio and the new River Accorsi EP, titled “Metanoia”. A deep and dark Dubstep release with a character of its own and it’s fair to say this isn’t your regular Dubstep/Drum N Bass EP. Bassy and atmospheric, River Accorsi‘s “Metanoia” EP takes the best elements of many different bass music forms and styles and blends them together in great ways, making his new EP a journey that needs to be experienced from start to end. Prismatic has also contributed a remix to the release and it’s a great one too, adding some extra bassy flavor to what was a very nice release already. Hell-o bassheads and distortion addicts and it’s been a while since we made it to hold a full bass session (still having problems with the 24 hour long days) but today we thought we’d take a break from everything else and get low and dirty with some heavy sounds, so here we are! As for what we have in store for today, a couple new releases (if everything goes according to plan and we have enough time for it) so let’s get right into the good stuff with some fresh blood coming from Uplink Audio and the first time featured here Axonic with their new EP “The Breach”. 6 original tracks, all moving in the dark heavy and filthy Dubstep direction and sounding like a nuclear war in your speakers, with the exception of the trappy “EG-R” (sorry folks, just not our sound), which is a good thing by all means. If you’re after some heavy bass hitters and megatons of filth this is definitely one to check out so here’s the full EP for your listening pleasure. You know what to do!
