Keeping the good new releases coming and here’s some tasty fresh blood too, coming by Germany based artist White Zoo with his new EP “Yagar”, out today on Audiophile Live. Some good hard Electro that should take the fans of the sound back to hard Electro good old days, or at the very least bring back some good old memories for those who still remember those days. “Yagar” EP comes with 4 original tracks, combining the harder Electro sound with orchestral and more melodic parts in a way that we don’t hear often nowadays and we haven’t heard coming by Audiophile Live in a while to be honest. Definitely a very good surprise by both artist and label and a release we enjoyed quite a bit right here. Check it out! Continue reading »

Just a few days ago the So French Records “Winter Time” Vol.02 Compilation was released by French label, including 14 original tracks altogether. A mix of Nu Disco, Electro Rock and well, French Touch with some artists we’ve known and liked for a while now, as well as some new ones. Listening to the whole release a few times and trying to make up our minds about it, we can definitely say that there are some very good tracks on it, which we have picked to feature here today. One of the things we didn’t like as much is the abundance of Nu Disco and “funky”tracks, which seemed to take over the overall release more than we would have personally liked as it seems to have left less room for more power and energy which we thought is missing a bit from the particular compilation. The good thing though is that the few tracks that are moving to a “harder” direction out of “Winter Time” Vol.02 really stood out as they made a significance difference to the release’s overall feel and flow. And because we just can’t have enough good new music today, we saved something special for the end, with this exclusive premiere of Hanuman Tribe‘s track “Skala”, available in free download for all those who enjoy their electronic music good, dark and loud. The Germany based duo has been saving this one for some time now as a very well kept secret since the track has never been published and has only been heard through some mixes, DJ sets, and of course at Hanuman Tribe live shows. A powerful and dark original track by the duo which brings together elements of Electro, Electronica and Techno and we guarantee you that if you have enjoyed Hanuman Tribe‘s previous work you are going to fall in love with this one in an instance. As for those who might have not heard of them before, nothing to worry about as this is the perfect introduction to their sound. Check it out, grab it and join the tribe! Continue reading »

Continuing with some new music and a release we here on Metalectro were looking forward to for some time now, especially after the release of the official video for Beatbender‘s “Elevate”. But as of today the duo’s debult album “Elevate” is finally available through Jet Set Trash and let us tell you that it doesn’t fall short of any expectations one might have had from the video, lead singles or enthusiastic and boasting press release. “Elevate” LP comes with 10 originals that move between Electro, Techno and Electronica and having listened to the full release (a few time already) it definitely is an album of high quality and production standards. Dark, heavy, elegant and fresh are the words that come to mind to best describe Beatbender‘s album as a whole. From the first second of the opening and mysterious track, titled “The Strange Story Of Elisa Lam” (those of you familiar with the actual story of Elisa Lam will grasp its beauty on another level), to last one of the chilled Drum & Bass “Outro” this is both a great album and one you should definitely not miss!
