Hell-o all and after a few silent days we return with some serious bass and new sounds that should satidfy even the most demanding bass maniacs among you and aUtOdiDakT‘s new LP “Bass For Days” is the perfect weapon to do just that. And in case anyone here is stiff not sure what to expect the title “Bass For Days” should give you a pretty good idea. 9 originals by the German producer who once again didn’t disappoint. Energy and power in abundance and yet another Mahtrasher release full of the label’s trademark sound and stuffed with big pumping basslines. Some usual Mahtrasher suspects such as Kroyclub aren’t missing from this one either as the USA based artist has collaborated with aUtOdiDakT on the track “Huh!” and overall it’s safe to say this is a fun to listen to release which all Electro maniacs among you should check out.
Time to get real nasty and wild as the one and only Gor FLsh, undoubtedly one of the most (if not the most) brutal and uncompromised Electro producers around, who was recently challenged to remix a commercial track by a “compromised” artist. And of course, what could be a better pick and more suitable track for this challenge than “Animals”? So the Canadian producer came up with his very own undomesticated “Animals” rework and let’s just say that this is much more like it, especially for a track with this title. Bloodthirsty, angry and aggressive, Gor FLsh is showing with this rework what a “banger” electronic music track can should really sound like. So even if it’s been a while since we posted a “remix of the day” we think it’s more than fair to say the Canadian fully deserves the title today for this killer rework. We are pretty sure Martin and Spinnin’ would probably not be very happy if this reached their ears but that would probably make Gor FLsh even happier anyway. As for us, we are just happy with how this great rework sounds so check it, grab it and play it loud!
Next new release that is certainly one many of you hard Electro-freaks were most likely looking forward to as well is the Hypomaniacs new EP, out a week on Freakz Me Out. “Brazen” contains 2 new originals by the South African duo who do their thing, remaining loyal to their hard-trashy-distorted Electro sound and vocally dominated tracks, as one would expect since it’s been the trademark of Hypomaniacs since the beginning. Personally and being a fan and follower of Hypomaniacs since day 1, i have to admit not being as impressed with “Brazen”, not because it isn’t a good release but because it feels as if the duo has stopped developing and evolving musically. The aggressive character and bad-ass trademark vocals of Stacey Hypomaniacs in tracks like “Breach” or “Systematic” are being slowly but steadily giving room to melodic vocals and even though the production and tracks are still hard and powerful in their majority they feel as if they are lacking the character or inspiration the previous Hypomaniacs works had. By all means this is a good release and what all fans of the duo would expect by them so you should definitely check it out, even though it feels like there is way more talent and potential to be unlocked with this duo, especially if they want to keep impressing and exciting their fans as they used to do in the past.
Another new release that came last week by an artist that those of you Metalectro followers should be familiar with, is Linoleum‘s debut EP “Obnoxious”. The Frenchman has finally made his official debut and yes, as surprising as it might sound this is only the first EP to come by him. After having remixed a countless artists and worked with a number of labels Linoleum has finally found his home under the roof of Mähtrasher Records. 2 originals that showcase the artist’s unique style – a mix of electro, french touch and techno, all spiced with his very own character and fresh ideas. Nadisko and Gmorozov are on remixing duties, with both adding a techno flavor to the 2 originals. Not big fans of the remixes to be honest since it’s not our sound but congratulations to Linoleum on his 1st official EP release anyway and the 2 very nice originals that we certainly suggest to check out for some fresh electronic sound!
Hell-o all and after a silent few days from our side it’s time to bring out our bass canons and blast some serious dark electronic sonic filth your way and we have quite some stuff as well to post, starting with the return of the Swedish Death Electro king on Metalectro. Yeah, Owl Vision is back with his 5th LP titled “Doomster” and let us say that this has to be one of the artist’s best works up to date. 8 originals with the classic dark trademark Owl Vision sound and full of those frozen dark melodies that send chills down your spine and we all know and love from Owl Vision. Some tracks like “Lightsly”, “Holy Shit” or “Kill Me Now” you must already be familiar with if you follow the artist since they had already been released as singles before but those are only one third of the “Doomster” LP brilliance so here’s the full LP for your listening pleasure! Enjoy!
