Turbo KillerCarpenter Brut is an artist whose name you should know by now and if not you have some serious homework and listening to do. It’s no secret we have loved his work here on Metalectro before his rise to Synthwave stardom as his music was always hard hard, cool, inspired and of a very high standard. And now he has equally great visuals (if not even greater) to go along with it too. The video for “Turbo Killer” (written and directed by Seth Ickerman) was out a few months ago and well, simply put is probably the most awesome and visually stunning video (music or not) we, you and everyone else have seen and will see in a while. In case you have somehow missed it until now we don’t want to spoil the fun and jawdropping action that comes with it so we’ll stop here. Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy! Continue reading »

Trying to catch up with all the music I missed during the last months that the blog was in hibernation is a time consuming task, let me tell you. Not to complain though since I am a music junkie anyway so sitting and listening to (new) music isn’t all that bad, especially when it’s good music (or the kind of music i like to be more precise).

And while I’m going to be taking it slower and only post about releases which have that something special worth talking about, the music that does actually make it on here should be “food for the soul” – only more groovy, powerful and generally speaking awesome in one way or the other. And Daniel Deluxe‘s “Corruptor” LP just happens to tick all of those boxes. Continue reading »

Having some fresh blood coming your way today with Swedish artist Irving Force, who just had a new EP titled “The Violence Supressor” out a few days ago. A very recent find and one of those artists that really caught our ear, Irving Force‘s music is following the 80’s dark and heavy synthwave path. Sometimes more 80’s influnced Electronica, sometimes more rock/metal and other times straight heavy sounding Electro, his new EP includes 4 originals that should take you on a crazy, noisy and fun ride through neon-retro-futuristic soundscapes. Definitely a nice combination of elements and ideas that left us with a very nice buzzing in our ears, we will definitely be looking forward to hearing more by Irving Force. How about you? Staying on the dark side with yet one more post and here’s one more new release by an artist who we have openly and repeatedly expressed how much we like and hence we are very happy to be able to feature once more on Metalectro with a new release. Carpenter Brut who shouldn’t be a stranger to any fan of the dark synthwave movement nor Electro fan really is back with a new EP and once again delivers some nice 80’s vibes with the dark and hard Nu Disco/Indie Dance/French Electro mix of styles he’s known for. 6 new original tracks by the Frenchman which will keep all fans of his music and overall fans of the particular styles and sounds nailed to their seats throughout the 26 minutes of this Electronic journey that Carpenter Brut‘s new EP is. Definitely one to check out by all means!

Hell-o all and it’s time our daily dose of dark and heavy Electronic music even if our opening post might not be as heavy and bassy as usually but what it lacks in filth makes up for with great dark synthwave atmosphere and 80’s sound reinforced with some lovely guitars. Yeah it’s Dance With The Dead, a name that has been featured here a few times in the past, with a new track and if you are fans of the style and sound you have to love these guys. Taken from their new “Send The Signal” EP that was out yesterday, “Poison” is our track of choice for today and not because we didn’t like the other tracks of the release but just because we liked this one even more. A great track that we definitely enjoyed a lot so here it is. Make sure to check it out as well as full “Send The Signal” EP as well!
