Hell-o you all! First of all apologies on my behalf (as well) for not bringing as many sounds as you´re used to, but like Zak said it already there are few things in the making alongside that keep us busy. I hope to fulfil a better performance this week, in any case i will today, so let´s get this started here. The track i´m going to feature first today has been released quite some days ago, strictly speaking the 16th of September already, being an single extract of SomethingALaMode´s upcoming album named “Endless Stairs”, which has been announced by the French duo to be released this winter. And even though SALM came up with some more single extracts meanwhile of the mentioned album i´m going to stick to this one named “Prophet 21“, as it´s a very nice and atmospheric tune, rather calm but still uplifting and perfect starter imo for blogging, so check it out by all means!!!
Before we call it a night we have one last dose of powerfull and dark electro coming with today’s “remix of the day” which happens to be a face off between Hantise and Laforcah, who both remixed Gor FLsh‘s “Booze And Other Good Habits” on the Canadian’s recently released EP “Undead” on Jet Set Trash. Both remixes are heavy, awesome and louder than hell – as was the original and very characteristic original by Gor FLsh too. Each of these 2 remixers managed to maintain some of the trademark Gor FLsh sounds from the original track but also added their very own touch to their remixes and took the track into 2 very different directions, transforming it into 2 very different sounding but equally devastating remixes. Definitely headbbanging material by both and 2 remixes on the same track that imo is simply impossible to pick one over the other, so here they are both. Check them out and have a great evening!
Staying dark and evil with my next pick for today and a track by a name that hasn’t been blogged here for quite a while but it’s always nice when they re-surface out of the dark abyss. Da Octopusss are back and with them is back the dark and twisted Electro that they are known for. Evil sounding and “evilminded”, the duo has a new EP coming soon and this original track titled “Evilmined” can only serve as a warning for what will follow when the old ones rise form the dark deep sea. Lovecraft inspired paranoia and darkness meets Electro…
It’s time to leave the new releases behind for today and move on to some free goodies. We will be sticking to more guitars for the time being though and get pretty dark with this track pick and post. It’s a recent original by Varien, who is no stranger to this blog neither the dark Metal injected Dubstep/Electro sounds. And Varien‘s track “Immortal Kiss” is exactly that, a dark and super heavy guitar fueled evilicious treat. Growls, heavy guitars, dark atmoshpere and on top of all that free, so what else could we possibly ask for really? Personally i wouldn’t ask for anything more out of this one really as i am pretty happy as it is already, so here is “Immortal Kiss” for all those who like their kisses poisonous and their EDM deadly!
Time to wrap things up for today and so here comes my last post and we’ll be getting really heaby, deep and dark with this one and how if anyone expected anything other than that from Noisia then they were obviously very mistaken. Big remix by a big name and in this case, which isn’t always true when it comes to bigger names, the track definitely sound big enough as well. “Arrakis” is taken from Black Sun Empire‘s recently released “Variations on Black” Remix Album which features 28 remixes altogether with some pretty big weapons of Drum & Bass destruction among the artists. Counterstrike, Zardonic, Audio, Neonlight and many more can be heard remixing some Black Sun Empire tracks on this Remix Album and just like this remix by Noisia is, most of them are pretty damn great too. So, check this one, make damn sure to check out the full release as well and have a great evening!
