I have another full EP coming up next, only this time it’s a freebie since no Metalectro blogging session can be 100% complete without 1 freebie at least, so today i have a pretty big one for you. A free EP by Overwerk featuring 4 original tracks. All 4 classic Overwerk super well produced Electro House, combinning nice melodic parts with heavy basslines, big buildups and some very nice synth-work, as usual. In a few words nothing less than what you would expect by the Canadian Overwerk. Definitely not the hardest Electro you have or are going to hear but nevertheless 4 very well constructed and good sounding tracks. So, hit play, check them out and go grab them if you want to add them in your mp3 collection.
Hell-o all! Monday again and time to get busy here on Metalectro with some nasty sounds, something that admittedly i haven’t been able do much lately due to other commitments. So a big thank you to lady Hellectro for keeping things running these last couple of weeks and delivering the goods. I am back on duty today though and hope to make up for any lost time with some extra bass so lets get started with Skitsnygg‘s new EP “Darkness”, out a couple of weeks ago on Sex Cult featuring the dark, heavy original plus remixes by Our Time, Tim Tonik, Laforcah and the contest winners The Unique Yagark and Boilers. A nice hard sounding Electro release overall so in case you haven’t checked it out yet, here’s the full EP!
Last but not least i´ll close the day with some fresh blood and a nice, three track long EP of which two tracks are freebies. I haven´t picked any specific “remix of the day” this evening, but the two remixes that are included in this EP make up for it easily i guess as they both turned out very good. Back to our latest member in the Metalectro family though and an infernal hell-o and warm, if not even hot welcome to Alex Coster from Cholet in France who is responsible for this pretty damn nice free EP named “Feeling“, featuring the same-titled and smoothly melodic original as well as remixes by Akkurat Eleven and Autopunk! Cool stuff and a nice package to close the day with, so check it out, grab all you can get your hands on and have great evening!!!
Here comes yet another newly released track, not as fresh as a daisy as it is out since the 18th of November already, nevertheless it hasn´t been blogged here yet and i´ll gladly do so now as this track is just amazing imo! To call a spade a spade, this is the track “Serpent Of Old” by Seven Lions feat. Ciscandra Nosthalgia, a one track release out on Owsla and a great composition overall. Everyone of you who´s familiar with Seven Lions knows about their high quality productions i guess, playful and very deep tracks with much love for details and by combining these attributes with the slight wicked and desperate sounding vocals by Ciscandra Nostalghia a damn awesome track has been created for sure. A dark beauty with immense power is waiting to be heard, don´t hesitate but play it loud!!!
Next i have another preview of one of the tracks that is going to be featured on You Killing Me´s upcoming EP named “Rave & Love”! “I Kill You” is its name, one of altogether four originals (if not mistaken) that are going to be released the 17th of December on Freakz Me Out and sound-wise my favourite so far! Something that really pisses me off though are the nasty comments on Soundcloud, it´s okay not to like every track and i agree that there are some obvious changes on the familiar You Killing Me sound, but when it comes to “I Kill You” (also “Raja” & “Rave & Love” imo) the changes are definitely refreshing and not calculated concerning any commercial interests imo, rather a development as it´s also boring to sound predictable and always the same. The sound is fat, the tracks are distinct and there are way better names out there to point a finger at if asking me, but i bet the same people judging publicly there on You Killing Me can´t toady enough when it comes to other “big” names at all anyway.. Amen & enjoy the preview!!!
