Here comes yet another newly released track, not as fresh as a daisy as it is out since the 18th of November already, nevertheless it hasn´t been blogged here yet and i´ll gladly do so now as this track is just amazing imo! To call a spade a spade, this is the track “Serpent Of Old” by Seven Lions feat. Ciscandra Nosthalgia, a one track release out on Owsla and a great composition overall. Everyone of you who´s familiar with Seven Lions knows about their high quality productions i guess, playful and very deep tracks with much love for details and by combining these attributes with the slight wicked and desperate sounding vocals by Ciscandra Nostalghia a damn awesome track has been created for sure. A dark beauty with immense power is waiting to be heard, don´t hesitate but play it loud!!!

Staying on the Dubstep side and next i have a track by a name that hasn’t been featured here for a while but is never too far from returning on Metalectro. When it comes to heavy bass and monsters Figure is definitely one of of the experts and even if i am not a big fan of his last EP “Horns of the Apocalypse” as a whole, without saying it isn’t a good EP or that you shouln’t check it out if you haven’t yet, i quite liked this track. Featuring Del The Funky Homosapien on vocals this might not be the heaviest or darkest track we ever heard by Figure but is certainly the one track that imo stood out from the EP released on OWSLA about 1 motnh ago. Definitely a track that should keep most Figure fans happy since it is a pretty heavy one and whet their appettite for what’s to follow with Figure‘s upcoming album “Monsters Vol.04”, for which we will talk another time. For now, hit play on this one, check it out and grab it!

I will go on with a new release and a freebie at the same time and definitely one hell of a big, dark, bad collaboration which sounds as good, or actually as badass as one would have expected and anticipated by Noisia and Foreign Beggars. Of course it’s no secret this collaboration was coming, if anything it was the opposite of a secret and finally now the first I Am Legion single is out on OWSLA, featuring 1 vocal and 1 instrumental version of the track. The single is also available as a free download through the I Am Legion wesbiste though so you can choose how you want to grab and support this new project and little dark, drum & bass-hip hop baby monster. As for what to expect, if you somehow have missed this one so far, well i think it’s better if i don’t say anything more and let you check it out for yourselves.

Hell-o you all, i hope you had a great start of the week so far! After a quite silent day yesterday we´re back with double power since Zak and i will be splitting posts today, me delivering the first two and Zak all what comes after! Starting with a new release and serious headbang and mosh music since the new EP named “Nightfall” by Phuture Doom just got released today on OWSLA, featuring altogether four original tracks and setting a new standard for OWSLA releases that is! All of you that heard Phuture Doom´s track “Burn The Knowledge” already know what to expect, in contrast to that one though which is more on the black metal influenced side of electro imo, the other two tracks alongside the intro named “La Grande Messe Noire” are sounding slightly different, still combining black metal elements and guitars with damn catchy acid-breakbeat sounds though, resulting in hard´n´bouncy bangers. Call it what you want, i definitely enjoyed what i´ve been listening to and i bet you´ll do so too, so hit the play button below, crank it up and check the EP out!!!

Here’s another freebie and some fresh blood, admittedly very tasty and very fresh too, and from talking about the hard electro sound of the past in the previous post, let’s talk a bit about the future, or actually the phuture. Phuture Doom is OWSLA‘s new surprise and heavy weapon and some of you might be familiar with the name from the remix of Birdy Nam Nam‘s “Defiant Order”, which i personally never was a big fan of to be honest. So it was to my great and in fact very pleasant surprise to listen to Phuture Doom‘s latest and first original track “Burn The Knowledge”, which frankly is as Metalectro as it gets. Great production, black metal influences, filthy bass and a track that has a place in the Metalectro pantheon alongside names like Richie Beretta, Rocket, Gor FLsh, ASCII Demon, Zardonic, Heavygrinder, Drivepilot, Andy’s iLL (to mention a few) and all those who in the recent years have come up with tracks that have so succesfully been bringing the metal and electro worlds together! Check this out, the video too, and stay tuned for the release of “Nightfall” EP, out on July 23rd! We’ll definitely be looking forward to it with great curiosity and expectations!
