New Release: Barjo “We Are Barjo” EP

I´ll keep the fresh blood flowing and continue much the same as previously since here comes yet the next duo that hasn´t been featured here before, this time with a new release in the luggage though! So this is Barjo, a name that aroused obviously out of the forenames of its two UK based members Bartosz and Joe, coming around with their latest release “We Are Barjo” that got released on Disturbingly Loud around two weeks ago, a label that was just founded by Barjo themselves if not mistaken. The EP features four original tracks from glitch hop & electro house to drum and bass and sounds great throughout imo, track-wise as well as production-wise and i definitely enjoyed checking this one out being an eclectic, refreshing, bassy and very well done release overall, so give it a listen by all means!!!

Time for the first freebie and also time for some fresh blood and today´s first dose named Gunslinger just came to my attention yesterday due to a mindful devotee of guitar spiced electro, thanks a lot for the hint buddy! Gunslinger is a Los Angeles/USA based duo whose style can probably most fittingly be categorized as rocktronica, being a fusion of rock up to indie elements with electro house and edm. The track i´ve picked hereby is called “Looking At You” and is either available for free or as well to buy on iTunes, depending on how short of the ready or generous you are. But whether you buy or just grab it is entirely up to you, in any case you should check it out though, so give it a listen!!!

New Release: Popeska – Army

Now it´s about time to bring in some fresh blood, even though not being a small name, but for the first time being featured here, so let´s welcome Popeska a quite young, but nevertheless already pretty successful producer from Atlanta/USA! The track i picked today to be featured here has been taken from his latest release named “Sonder” EP on Kindergarten Recordings, “Army” is my choice´s name, one of altogether five tracks and clearly my favourite of this classic electro-house to EDM sounding EP. Although and to be honest i can´t say there was any track on it i didn´t like, i just picked the track i liked the most, and now check it out yourselves too!!!

Autopunk – The Creation Of Anarchy

Going on with another dose of fresh blood and a greatly itchy and scratchy tune by Metalectro´s second newbie to be featured today named Autopunk! According to his Soundcluod account Autopunk is a one-man project being based in Dublin/Ireland as well as in Toronto/Canada, and i just stumbled over this tune by coincidence, at once attracted to hit the play button by its likeable title “The Creation Of Anarchy” and didn´t meet disappointment at all, but found another hard pumping and 666% blog-worthy electro track! In general i have to admit that i liked what i got to listen on his account and i´ll certainly keep an eye on him, now it´s your turn to check this nasty pacemaker out!!!

Phosgene – Trypophobia

Since i also postponed any new release and preview posts to the next blogging session on my part and decided to come up with some freebies and fresh blood instead today it´s about time to introduce you to a new member being featured on Metalectro, going by the name Phosgene and coming from Bologna/Italy! The track i´m going to feature hereby is named “Trypophobia” and a pretty catchy and straight forward marching tune, rich in details and sounds but still pretty badass, so i guess complextro-trash is a quite suitable description that does justice to this style. In any case a cool track, i wouldn´t have picked it otherwise, just check it out yourselves too!!!
