New Release: Q.G. “Insomnia” LP

Hell-o all and i hope you’re having a nice day, which is about to get better as the Metalectro show is about to get under way. So lets get started with a brand new release from a name who’s been a regular here since forever. Q.G. is back with one more post and a new LP, out yesterday on Dga Fau. We already got a taste of what to expect by Q.G. on “Insomnia” LP through the teaser posted here before and through the singles released earlier this year but now the full LP is out featuring 9 more unheard originals (13 tacks in total) with a nice variety in styles but also maintaing the Q.G. characteristics thoughout the LP. Bangers, vocal and popy tracks, melodic tracks, even a tribute to his father’s progressive rock band, “Insomnia” has got it all and it’s certainly a release worth checking out, so hit play!

Hell-o and i hope you are having a great day, which is about to become even greater as another Metalectro session is about to start. So, what’s on today’s menu you might wonder and i could go zombie mode and start talking about brains, hearst, etc but i’ll let the music do the talking and take you to all the places your imagination with the help from today’s picks leads you. Let’s start then and fresh out of the oven i have a preview which is best served hot. Q.G.‘s LP “Insomnia” is coming on Dga Fau and the Frenchman just uploaded a minimix of it, featuring previews of 13 tracks. Some you know (Neronomicon, Razor, Burn, Six Feet Under, The Devil’s Plan) the rest are brand new and unheard. As for what to expect, i’d say french touch electro with a hard edge, nice groove and a hint of trashy distorted synth work. Sounds good enough to you? Check it out!

When it comes to roughness i won´t cut back on anything, but bring you the next great track and especially video to check out, this time coming from France by Q.G.! Been featured here countless times already he bulked up our video collection once again by coming up with this visual torture of his track “The Devil´s Plan” that has just been released few days ago on Dga Fau Records. Style-wise it ties perfectly in with the video to “Bomb” (Disaster Version), even though less bloody, so everyone who has seen that one back then knows what to expect and come now, anyone else should better make sure to send any minors away before clicking the play button, as here comes some spooky sickness! Enjoy!!!

Hell-o all and hope you’re having a great day! For some of you the day is just about to get better and for some worse i guess since we have finally agreed and come up with the 4 winners of the “Necronomicon” Remix Contest, run in collaboration with Q.G. and Dga Fau Records! It was pretty hard to pick only 4 winners, as all judges admitted themselves but finally after a few days of listening and deciding the time has come! Before i let you know which the 1 winner who will be getting the EP release (including a remix by Q.G. himself) on Dga Fau Records as well as the other 3 remixes that will be released on Q.G.‘s EP “Necronomicon” we have decided to to give an exclusive Free “Necronimicon” Remixes EP on Metalectro, featuring the runner ups and those who got close but didint’ make it on the final 4 and the official release.
