Time to wrap things up here and it’s been quite a day really, with a little bit of everything and so i decided to add a video into today’s mix as well and spice things up by adding some more variety and a visually enhanced experience as well. So, i have picked the official video of Lisseman‘s “Dirty iPad” to close with, which is a slightly different version than the one released almost a couple of weeks ago on the “Dirty iPad” EP, out on Jet Set Trash. This is the video of the track performed live by Lisseman (feat. Manuals) and it’s a slightly extended one as well. Certainly a great tack, as was the EP version as well and a nice video, although nothing too spectacular. Overall a very pleasant combination of audio and video, so hit the play button below, check out the track and EP if you haven’t yet, featuring a couple more original tracks plus remixes by Hack The System, Tim Tonik, 1no1eum and Monolith and have a great evening!!!
Like i mentioned earlier i wanted to close with a video today and actually i wanted to post this track as a freebie anyway but since an official video has been already uploaded and it’s a pretty nice one too, i decided to go for the visually enhanced version of ANiMAL‘s track “The Animal Cage“. It’s also the first time ANiMAL are being blogged here so even more fresh blood for you too and actually i have to say that the term fresh blood fits the bass-heavy EDM punk London based trio perfectly as well, judging by this track and video at least. With a release on 2 Much Bass Records, a European and a couple of UK tours already under their belt, ANiMAL have now released their debut music video (directed by drummer Andy Mckenzie) for the track “The Animal Cage“, which is a vicious romp through the band’s kidnapping and terrorization by a demented stalker-fan and well, juding by the track ans video i can only say that things are looking good for them in the start of 2013! Check both track and video out, make sure to grab the track here and have a great evening!!!
Time to wrap things up for today i’ve decided to break the habit of closing usually with my pick for the “remix of the day” and close with a video instead. Well, when i say video though, this isn’t just any video as besides being the official video for SKisM‘s “Experts”, taken form his “F**k The Experts” EP, featuring 4 originals and 5 remixes by some pretty big names such as xKore, Dirtyloud and more. Regardless of the release though, the video itself is a really great one too, as it combines live action footage with some great animation and is certainly doing a great job complimenting and actually enhancing the audio to the max. So, here it comes, a great audio-visual experience by all mens so enjoy both track and video and of course have a great evening and weekend!!!
Next i’ll be leaving the 60’s and any surfing related activities behind and continue with something more contemporary and a video that isn’t an official one but is still great and serves the purpose of complimenting the audio and the track “Insanity” by Knooper very well. A pretty nice banging track by the Portuguese producer which was certainly worth this visual enhancement and the re-edit of this imagery and footage, which was initially directed and shot for the “OFFF Barcelona” 2011 festival. Dark, unsettling but also highly aesthetic imagery, as the director Mischa Rozema described it himself and i certainly agree. A perfect match to Knooper‘s track title and atmosphere as well, so congratulations to the PostPanic people for the great original video and of course to Supra Summun for the adaptation and re-edit of the footage to fit the audio. Check this out if you somehow missed it during 2012!
Hell-o to all Metalectroheadz and electro maniacs from me too and as promised on Friday, we’re back already with one more chapter of our “New Year’s Evil – 2012 Retrospective”! Today we’re back into giving you digital hell from all angles, as we’ll be splitting the posts between the 2 of us, with lady Hellectro being in charge of delivering some devastating audio, while i’ll be taking care of our video needs. So, here we go and i’ll start with this really great live-action official video for Mustard Pimp (feat. Ze) “The Amazons”, which is my 7th pick overall for our favorite videos of 2012. Well, not 7th in order of preference as this video would have been even higher in my list, if my list was compiled based on order of preference or or entertainment value that is. Undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable videos and tracks of 2012, released on Dim Mak and directed by by Behn Fannin, so if you have a taste for the 60’s, surfing and shooting hipsters this has to make your day! By all means, enjoy!!!
